got the pro version of cubik today, going through it learning shortcuts and easy way to do thinks. the program has its limitations a couple of things i waned to do is not supported yet. been busy creating new textures and models, neirly done all rail variations, also iron bars.. i made an awesome torch model
i am udateing today rc5. new randomobs. doing ports also. will let you guys know when done.
i won't be releasing 3d models yet, i want to makw some refinements and fix uv in certain places. i've done straight 3d rail, activator and detector., 3d torch (just working out how to attach to wall) 3d red and brown mushrooms, working on 3d iron bars, finalized 3d pc command block and finished lego block wool
I cant get the Texture Pack to work, i downloaded everything from the "Download 2" Link but its seems to be all in pieces. There is no .Zip Package that i can use or it is a build it yourself texture Pack? Kind of a nice Idea, but i have no Idea where to start and what is needed :/

Those look really great, the logs look really fascinating too bad they have to be bigger than a normal block so it will give little clipping issues. Will they still look like this if harvested, or will they convert back to the normal block look?
thanks.. yes the logs have minor clipping issues and yes they render like this when harvested. only big problem i see is lag on weak pc's. i have a very powerful pc so i don't experience lag much but i am sure in heavy forested areas could cause lag.sorry i haven't released models yet , i have been sick for past few days and am still recovering, i will try to get some models uploaded todayedit: ok i uploaded some of the models so far, pics easier than word atm must have latest snapshot. please backup your world first the minecraft 3d block format is not complete/beta and may/will change. cubik is the program i use and it is beta also
only up on dropbox atm will mirror to google this arvo arfter work....edit, done.if you have to much lag with models i recommend deleting log models from both model and mesh folders. also atm there is problem with ladder icon and render on log models, will be fixed.and z-fighting glitch on curved rails, will be fixedand i just remembered torches on walls are stuffed atm delete torch mesh and block file
i will work on fixing these things before i start any others and will upload new files in a few days
pressure plates will be fixed , the problem with the rails is if i dont render 3d icon then they look even more messed up because of the texture there is no fix atm., some of the textures are larger than 128x- to keep the gold block for example at 128x i had to make the texture 256x then use uv mapping to pull each 128x face, the command block texture is 512x , the rail textures are all the same and do not resemble rails at all , it is components to make the 3d models textures same with a few others, so i must use 3d icon render otherwise the texture is really messed. for example hold ladder in hand.

ok i am starting to feel better, i had chest infection all last week. i quickly fixed up a wall torch model this morn b4 work, still need fix uv in one spot and apply to redstone torches, here a pic, the other bug fixes will be worked on after work.
i made cake for doom's b'day which was a couple days ago here's a pic. (this won't be released)
ok i have uploaded quick fix to models.
fixed z-fighting on curved rail, fixed ladder for round tree trunks, fixed all the wall torches. i removed lego wool but if someone wants it i'll make separate.
more models coming soon!
edit: i just realized i left unfinished brewing stand model in dl. i removed it now so if you dl in last few hours please re-download
i was just testing an idea i had and it worked marvelously. the enchanted glint i have customized with electric field look, with a bit of blur it look amazing in-game, here are some pics. this will be in next update. arrr the pics don't show it well, its way better in-game with the animation
3d daylight detector, enchant table. did glowstone as well but the glow on the metal is a bit wrong, i will have to modify the animation.
seems i can fix flowerpot mushrooms now so i will get onto that today. i started again on iron bars also.
it wont be for some time (so late tribute) as i need wait for cubik to support rotation on all axis. been slowly doing other simple blocks in meantime. got new free online nfs so been playin that with my mate lately.

is that caused by custom sky?, if not remove lightmap folder from mcpatcher folder in vdc, that should fix back to default.
I'm not using mcpatcher, would that make a difference?
are you using optifine? it works same i think. i am looking into it now, i dont use mcpatcher or optifine myself, unless updated to snapshot or need to test features. this is pic default minecraft at night amongst trees, is this how it is for you?

so the new snapshot has feature, when you get to edge of world you will find an animated forcefield . i customized it with shock wall. here a pic
the minecraft world is 30 000 000 square

also made round logs. these had to be larger than blobk to eliminate culling problem but they look cool

finished half the torches just gotta do wall mount which is fairly easy. here's standing model:
w.i.p brewing stand. it requires 8 models, nearly done first empty stand.
i will work on fixing these things before i start any others and will upload new files in a few days
