havent been online in a few days...... for 1.5 i uploaded converted pack and fixed missing water/lava anims. random terrain does not work i may look into it later. i just bought triple my usual internet spendage so i'll be playing lots of black ops 2 online in next few days (my steam is zomb699 if anyone wants to join my team, just mention vondoomcraft etc.) as soon as Doom does official 1.5 version i will learn batch script so can continue ports (i imagine the work without a script would take weeks!)

Yeah, I've been tying around with batch scripts too, on and off. I think I'm either going to have to keep much better track of the random little texture changes, or continue making the terrain and such on a single pre-1.5 sheet and using MCPatcher to chop it up; just to keep from having to update each individual block every time. I imagine it may be easier to do the ports this way too, but I'm still toying with it. (I have mentioned the giant loop 1.5 threw me through, correct? =) )
Doom i read your messages and my suggestion to you is.... ASK FOR HELP.
Since you seem to be all up in you jobb you should ask other texture pack makers to upscale the existing terrain textures to 256x256 while you work and make the textures for the new blocks in the 1.5 update.
The forum at bdcraft.com would probably be a good place to ask for help at sense there are some pretty talented texture pack makers back there.
While I very much appreciate the thought, honestly, aside from mod textures and the labors of Zomb, there's just not much I'd actually need help with. Resizing the terrain should only take about 2 minutes, but I'd like to do that myself, as there are a couple options I'd want to make sure are ticked.
Really, all I'm hurting for is time to make new textures and testing all the 1.5 stuff. At the moment, I just can't spare most of a day to do multiple resizes of the pack, multiple installs of Optifine/mCPatcher, etc. to work out all the new kinks and figure out what's going to and not going to lag people endlessly now that the least optimized game of the last 5 years has become even less optimized.
I think the best thing folks could do at the moment to help out would be to simply let me know what's working or not working for you; Especially if you've used Zomb's 1.5 version of the pack, or updated it with MCPatcher!

Also, cool desktop! I didn't realize Alienware computers would customize the Startbar and such; but the little Alien for the Windows logo is nice.
On topic: Can't wait for 1.5 support. Personally, I'm not even on 1.5 yet, because I'm a server administrator, so our server is still on 1.4.7 while Bukkit updates. Either way, though, I'll be waiting like the rest of us for an update to one of the best texture packs around.

Yeah, that's probably been a subconscious factor as of late too. I'm still more used to waiting on Forge and Bukkit to update than I am MCPatcher and such; and I know that a few of my server-owning friends are still ing up a storm about 1.5.
Either way, I've got Sunday off and fully intend to spend it getting the pack up to 1.5 proper. I'm still not 100% sure which advanced features will actually work (as well as which ones will have to be cut from the pack), so it may not be completely working but it'll be there!

The new job's still retail, and it's actually right next door to my old job, so I'm not entirely happy with it yet. At the very least it's looking like the co-workers are all much nicer and less useless, so i'll take it as an "upgrade" even if I'm making less money and the hours are iffy.
Just curious, is the stone sword supposed to look like thors hammer? Lol. I dont really mind it as its animation is cool as fuuu. But i was expecting an actual sword lol. Just thought id make sure nothing was wrong with the tp.

thanks doom. mmm i wish could say i built vader! no it was a schematic i just had to have (i did build the beacon in his hand though and i want to rebuild the head as i think its a bit too small). the atat, x-wings, and death star are also from schematics but i am totally overhaul build materials to suit me better. and i am making awesome custom interior in death star (it is huge). atm i am using 1.5 so no shader mod atm so i inceased view distance with optifine and now can view my entire floating castle from afar (used to only be able to see 2/3 of castle its that big) the atat i made emerging from shadow forest under death star and it looks nice and imposing (i'm thinking i can make some trampled trees under its feet). and my desktop is awesome i think, i was using hyperdesk themes before i found the alienware one, the alien head start button is awesome the eyes glow when hovered (its called alienguise 'breed' search google). (even though i don't have alienware i would like to build for them, and my custom built pc is as good if not better than some alienware setups.)

(not gonna bother getting screenshots and such, as there aren't any new textures just yet.)
Hopefully, the only problems with it will be the Clock and Compass not working yet (though they may with MCPatcher!)
Anywho, should be an hour or so and it'll be all set!
Just a relatively quick update to bring the pack up to 1.5.1 while I work on new textures!
All the animations and CTM stuff should be working , but if you notive anything please feel free to let me know! there were a lot of little updates to be done and some may have slipped by me.
I've also fixed the mounain/night skyboxes so that:
• those two lines should no longer appear
• They've both been prety heavily optimized, so they should lag less!
At the moment I have not updated the compass or clock, so althought they may work with MCPatcher, they will not work properly with optifine or default yet.

I'm not able to use this texture pack. I downloaded the file, moved the .zip into the Texture Packs Folder, and started the minecraft client. When I choose the VonDoomCraft 3.7 texture pack, it wouldn't load and just reset back to the basic texture pack.
Any ideas??

Nevermind I got it working now, just needed to download the McPatcher. Now I can go back to playing the best texture pack for Minecraft!!

I used MCP to install Optifine as the guide suggested. Sometimes the sky has a giant stretched and skewed sun texture which is more common than the chest. When this happens, the normal moving sun is where it should be. It seems I only have these problems in the day. It fixes itself if I relog. Usually.

Nevermind I got it working now, just needed to download the McPatcher. Now I can go back to playing the best texture pack for Minecraft!!
Awesome work, my buddies and I love this texture pack!
Also a side note, do I need to install HDoptifine? I'm relatively new to minecraft, so I don't know much about all these mods and such.
i am uploadinguploaded 64x port right now before i go work. 32x one will come this arvoon op under diy alternate textures. now that pack is updated to 1.5 i will look at alts and maybe make some packs. don't know if doom has split alt textures yet though
What resolution is the full hd texture pack?Does this texture pack contain multiple resolutions? If so, would that cause any render issues?
