The new Armors looks really great. Especially the Chain Armor Helmet with the trap joe jaw... and the new font is much better.
I like the concepts for the villagers and the idea with the cthulhu worshipers for the priest. Maybe you could use the fish-villager-concept for the witch. Then there is a contrast to the rest of the villagers and she lives inSwampland, so I think it could fit.

I'm still not 100% sure what I'd like to do with the Fishy folks, but right now this is probably the best bet.
To start with, I'll probably do a more defaultish Witch; But being the lamest mob ever, i feel i have to do something special with them sooner or later.
I know at some point I ant to do a"bog hag" skin for them; All gnarled and naked with seaweed covering her witchy-bits.
Actually leave the emerald stuff the way it is.
Don't make them look like Cthulu worshippers.
Basically they are in secret and it's the reason they're making the excuse that the coins are a bit like money when in reality they're trying to acquire as many as possible for something....yes....something.
They'll even trade all their belongings if it means getting their hands on them.
Y'know what, I've got a habit in Glimmar's thread of making up reasons for designs he could use for things like mobs and it's kinda bleeding over into here.
I like the chain and iron armours.
The villagers are neat. One step closer to completing the texture pack.

Unfortunately, I'm just not that happy with the Emerald stuff (the main Redstone blocks as well).
I know I want to do something akin to the classic Legend of Zelda "Rupee" for the emerald item; probably with something similar for the Ore. (the Cthulhu Emerald block is fine. Just needs to look more like actual emerald)
Right now I'm also thinking of doing the same thing with Redstone. Instead of being magical red skull tech, it would be red crystals (basically recolored emerald Rupees) with animated electricity running through them.
Either way, that stuff's for a later update. Still have too many random textures to finish before i move to fixing those up.
ok guys 32x and 64x ports are up... will do some alts to upload tomorrow (probably only 256x/128x)
lovin the new armours doom and the font is better, i like the clock too (i can bumpmap it and the compass should have update to shaders tomorrow, i have much better shader files now.

Now on to the balkon's addon i was working on, it took me so long to put together because i was not motivated and on the other hand i dont enjoy working on items as much as i like to do blocks and gui's. But, here it is, it includes daggers, hellebards, flails, warhammer, battleaxes and spears and is compatible with the latest version [1.10].
I used textures from the battlegear mod so credits go to zomb69 and of course Emperor Doom.
Some additional good news, i started working on Thaumcraft blocks.
Also if someone is interested, here are some screenshots of my singleplayer world, sry for bad quality and fog , the whole base only uses one water source (thanks to Better than wolves!)

Nice! After you're all set, feel free to pop back in ad let me know what you think of the updates! I think the last few have really added new life to the textures.
Also, Animals are relatively close now! Villagers are turning out to be quite a bit of work, and thre are still some othr textures i want to redo before moving on to the critters; but I am working on trying to doodle out some good details for them all!

So, has anyone else tried out the MCPatcher preview for the 1.5 stuff?
I tried a couple days ago, and even without any animations or CTM, I could only get about 20FPS max!
(Tried it with vDC, Soartex, and Misa's 128x. All ty results.)
I'm not sure if it's just that MCPatcher was still tweaking things, or if the new texture format is really THAT goddamned awful for performance, but it's quite worrying.

I do try to have cool releases semi-regularly, it's just a giant pain in the ass lol; so i really do hope folks aren't ed off at how seemingly long it takes for each one. Honestly, a lot of the time I'll work for days on something, only to have to put it on the backburner because it's just not working. (For example, I've animated about two dozen different versions of fire, and they always looks awful. I'm getting closer though!)|
Anywho, at the rate mojang keeps adding useless crap, I don't think I'd be able to say "FINISHED IT! Time to move on!" any time soon.
In other news, I went through my old files and added any HD skins/mobs I hadn't released to my public HD Skin Dropbox folder. It was something like 17 textures total, so if anyone's interested GIVE IT A LOOK.
I'll do an actual release with images and stuff in the HD Skin thread once the mod website's Database is back up and running (looks like it should be fixed next week!)
OH! And while it occurs to me, if the villagers and HD Link skin (made from them) turn out looking nice, how would everyone feel about a Leather Armor set like them?
So you could have colorable Link tunics and such? (probably with lots of stitching and patches, to make it fit the vDC style)
Ah wow, I've missed quite a bit it seems.
I like the new iron helm for the most part. Not sure about that ram horns, but that's just personal taste. Skeletor and the golden Skeletor armor look awesome, especially the shoulder pads and leather strip skirt (That I used to know the name of, but can't remember for the life of me. Pturges? Idk.) As for the Chain helmet, I have no idea why, but that huge jaw makes me laugh.
Kinda sad about the villager switch, but I can understand why you'd want to change the style. That butcher face in the original sketches seems rather creepy to me, but I love that Librarian sketch, It looks eerily similar to my British Literature teacher from High school.
Also, Link leather armor? Hell yeah! I'm a sucker for anything Zelda related.
Wow that villager looks great! Cant wait to see what other you'll come up with.
As for PSDs, could you please put in the following:
> Powder bag (E.g. gunpowder, redstone etc)
> Seed Packet
> Leaves block
> Carrot/Potato Crop
> If you have a larger bonesaw than the one on the crafting table can you also put that in (I want to see how it looks as the handsaw)
Also if you have some spare time could you make a version of my project table that looks like the crafting grid in the crafting GUI?

It's part of an expensive professional comic book maker's Font pack, so your est bet may be Piratebay or such, if it's not on the big font websites.

Oh man, those zombie villagers are brilliant. Loving the black smiths and first librarian. The way you did the hands looks really neat too.
Thanks! The hands took forever to figure out! I probably should have scanned it before I threw it out, but I actually had an entire 8x11" page of paper covered in possible hands!
Also, I expect to see the hand format in Sphax a couple hours after I release them.

Grime will be easy; I actually just forgot to add it! I had been up for like 27 hours doing textures when I posted the "finals"
Gloves are a lot harder though.
Originally, I wanted the blacksmiths to be shirtless and sweaty, with metal gloves. Unfortunately, because of the way the model repeats the arms without mirroring them, it's next to impossible to get right.
I'll try that one again, but if it doesn't happen with this release, there's always room to fix them up later and add new villagers.

I think I'll do some edits tonight and have a release out tomorrow with the villagers/villager zombies.
i have uploaded 3.4 shader support. new features - everything bumpmapped even the map. more parallax textures. ctm and random terrain support. shiny armour. photobucket is being crappy -will have more pics tomorrow
