Both looks very nice Doom. Does the needle work with mcpatcher and optifine if you only select better skies in mcpatcher?
Not that I've seen.
Plus, for whatever reason, the Clock's dial seems really touchy. Half the time it's working for me, half the time it's purple. I'm going to have to mess with it more.
In other news, I updated the Rei's minimap textures, and finally added a square version!
(you still have to manually replace the textures in the Minimap mod's zip/jar)

awesome work doom, in other news i got my gtx670 4gb oc edition and man its great!!!. i'm having trouble getting the ssd to work as c drive, once i've worked it out i can do the alts etc... sorry for any inconveniance.
Since you mentioned removing some details from the giant red mushroom to make it smoother, how about doing this for the uncooked fish item so it looks a lot smoother and slippery?
The cooked fish could keep the detail since it gives it a sort of "crispiness" to the skin.
I may toy with the fish a bit. Originally, the the body's material started out a as large Celocant-like scales, that just blurred out as I kept working on it. I don't want the body to have much less detail, but I do want to mess with the scales and probably colors some.
know it is done, but wasn't this a guy on Hd Skins that copied all of your skins and then got "banned" throug hreporting?
Honestly not sure about that one. I'm fine with people tweaking my HD Skins, so long as it doesn't go outside the site's database; so I didn't really check that often.

Ok, so I've managed to fix the mob heads by making versions of the mobs with flattened heads. (if you use MCPatcher for randommobs, those specific mobs shouldn't spawn)

ok installed my new gfx card last night and i must say i is amazing, with the same fps i'm used to (40fps) i doubled my view distance. and there are no errors in the water. installed the ssd today and am in process of reinstalling windows and everything else so tomorrow i should be all good and get the alternates done.
oh and i almost forgot...... amazing update doom everything is awesome

Keep in mind that because of Khan's financial troubles, the HD Skin Database is currently down, so I'll have to make a full skin ID list of the HD skins so people can use them.
Starting from this snapshot and forward, blocks and items will no longer load their artwork from one big sheet of sprites. Instead, they’ll have individual files for each image they’re using. The benefit from this is that it will be easier for Mojang to support custom blocks and items in the future. It will also allow Mojang to mix and match block artwork resolutions, and make sure that you get graphics for blocks that your current texture pack isn't updated for. Pretty awesome!
i think this will make it harder (more time and more confusing) to do texturepacks and the alts i do. time will tell i guess

Lucky you, mojang is creating a system o seperate existing texture packs into there individual files upon initual use. So leave the file as a whole, and the game will seperate the terrain.png for you XD
This texture pack is absolutely amazing!!! You're extremely talented!!!!! This is the most visually appealing texture pack I've seen, and i'm including Misa's, LB photorealism, and a large quantity of other texture packs I have (not to say those one's are bad), but the style used in this one is awesome!
Dinnerbone has released an "unstitcher" tool which converts texture packs into 1.5 format.
The format separates each individual block texture into its own file.
The "unstitcher" tool can be downloaded at http://assets.minecr.../unstitcher.jar
I don´t know how it works but maybe it could help you and Zomb69 for working on this great Texture Pack in Future.
Edit: Ok it´s simlpe. Download the unstitcher.jar and doubleklick on it. Choose the Texturepack (it must be a zip-file and located in .minecraft > texturepack - folder) click "convert Texturepack" and that´s all.

Stayed up until 7 in the morning working on his armor.
Ok, so this is turning out a lot cooler than I had originally planned...
I'm thinking it needs to be put in as an armor.
Chainmail maybe? I could always change the colors and add actual chainmail under the armored bits?
