i dont have it yet but i bet its awsome:-)
one thing i dont know is to how to install it.
plz give this mod but how do i install it
you need mcpatcher or optifine. install intruction on those sites. open minecraft , select texture pack menu, click open folder , drag vdc into that folder.
BTW,, do you know if there is "Katana" sword texture available , for this texture pack?
Thanks
yes there is a katana in my premade alternates. op my dropbox. but i have'nt made one with original diamond sword and katana, if you really want i can make another.

NEW UPDATE:
bumpmap now works everything
new shader. new shader features include: parallax occlusion , ssao, moon rays, hq dof as well as existing features, lens flare, god rays, bumpmap on all mobs, ctm, randomterrain, handheld items and blocks, reflections and semi-realistic water. you can also turn on glare, bloom, cell shader or motion blur. everything is configurable so if you want a custom shader ask me.
NEW instructions: USE THESE VERSIONS. for minecraft 1.4.6 and 1.4.7
1. install optifine HD U D5
2. install Karyonix's glsl mod v1.43 only from here (must correspond to optifine version)
3. delete meta-inf.
4. create 'shaderpacks'folder in .minecraft root folder
5. drag shaders.zip into shaderpacks folder
6. delete entire ctm folder from vdc
7. drag texture files into vdc.
8. play and enjoy!
cons: bumpmap only works in certain light conditions.best time is sunrise/sunset. intensive shaders will lower your fps to the point of being unplayable. if you have low fps try running in a window, change optifine settings, 720p etc... or run minecraft with more memory (i have a .bat file if people need it)

dear emperor doom i did something with your skins of hd skin mod i created a folder named ironman in the texture pack folder and it was for the suer hero in minecraft and it work could you do add some texture for the superhero in minecraft mod.thank you for your time
i've played around a bit with the specular map, i've got it pretty much worked out and should have a proper copy ready in a few days. i already made glowstone better.
also i just found another guy made a post in another forum with 2.9 vondoomcraft bumpmap/specular but it has some problems, plus he has uploaded the whole pack with the modification and he hasn't posted in this thread i'm almost certain.
Alriiight. I'm gonna try and keep this one short, as I just spent like 10 hours updating various websites' vDC images and HTML and crap; And my hands feel like they're about to fall off.
Whyyyyyyyyyyy, man why to change the swords?????? Diamond sword was just perfect !!! what is this now?? doesn't even look like sword,, it's like a chainsaw.
As much as I love the Skeletor Diamond Sword, I was never happy with the actual diamond-ness of it. The blue blade just always put me off. Personally, I think it makes a much cool Gold sword; it's just missing the eye animation at the moment.
Also, it just fits together better the way it is currently. The Chainsword goes with the WH40k Diamond Armor, and the skull-themed sword goes with the skeletal armor.
But yeah, as you've already figured out, there's still plenty of weapon choices in the Alts, including the old sword!
Emperor Doom, I have a little humble request - and I could understand if you would not grant it.
I am currently in the process of creating my own quick n' dirty edit of your texture pack for various mods I use such as Metallurgy I won't release those as they plainly s*ck. However I found the edit of some items to be incredibly tedious. This is especially true for items like additional powder or seed materials such as redstone or glowstone powder.
Would you be willing to release a blank template for this item?
Now, should you set up your own homepage for the mod? It's a really difficult question. You probably already know the following but still here are a few unrelated (and probably unwelcome) thoughts:
As always you should ask yourself: In what way will a user of my texture pack benefit from a different site opposed to just this thread? Setting up a site and keeping it updated in addition to this thread will inevitably suck resources away from your main goal: Completing the texture pack and keeping it up to date.
For that other comic texture pack the answer is quite easy. Sphax pretty much put up a site to get people to hep him creating add-ons for the various mods out there. I don't think there is any other texture pack that comes close to the amount of mods that texture pack supports. But then - most of these are simply the default Sphax's items with a different color.
For your pack it is much more difficult to create content. Simple recoloring will not cut it. Creating a GUI for a mod is much more difficult for vDC. Would setting up a site get you enough help to grant a return of investment?
I really like the way your pack is presented right now. The JohnSmith texture pack is presented not much different than yours (okay - worse) and it's still extremely popular.
How about setting up some kind of customizer and a few promotional videos first.
I think your texture pack is already gaining popularity quite fast. You are doing the most important thing right: You are listening to your fans and appreciate their opinion and it shows.
I've got a few reasons why I'd like to put an actual website together.
First and foremost, presentation. The size/HTML restrictions in the thread drive me crazy!
It's an insanely large task just trying to keep a balance between Given Information, navigability, and keeping the OP from looking like crap.
Frankly, it does a poor job of presenting all the things I think people want to see before downloading.
With its own webspace, I can give separate pages to showing off the Items, Mobs, etc; As well as throwing some individual images up for the various Mod Textures!
The way I'm thinking of it, all I would need to update regularly would be the news. Image galleries and such would link to DevinatArt or Photobucket galleries.
Secondly, but no less important, It would allow me to finally funnel all the download links to one place. I wouldn't have to update dozens of links hidden in complicated HTML every time I update; I could just have all links go to a "vDC Downloads" page.
Along these lines, I could further doe the same with various image galleries and such. I'm really trying to consolidate all this crap.
Third would be the idea of it having its own little forum.
Honestly, I think all I would use it for is Mod Support stuff. I plan on keeping this thread as the main discussion place; I can just to here.
I think if it had its own separate little forum, people could easier bounce ideas/tips/whatever off each other.
It also makes it easier to me to follow the folks who are doing it. I'm still very hesitant to release a bunch of my PSDs to the public, but having one small place to track, I could easier tell who should get access to them. I want to make it easy for folks; I just don't want all my stuff ending up in every half-assed texturepack.
As for the customizer; I'd like to use it, but it's an impossibility at the moment.
I've actually registered vDC there and toyed with it all a while ago.
Unfortunately, the way it pieces packs together would break all animations, CTM, randommobs, etc.
Also, because I teak a lot of little things all over the terrain that I usually don't bother mentioning in the update news, and the fact that you need to upload every individual texture with descriptions and such for the Customizer, it would take forever to update.
It's just not worth it at this point.
Yes, i plan to keep these mod addons up to date until someone else or you decide to make a better one, the only problem is that i am not playing this mods (extrabiomes/ironchests) myself. To provide further compatibility with your pack someone who's actually playing the mod has to tell me when there is an update to the textures.
After all the time you invested into this pack you don't sound like a ***** for telling the truth, this pack is of a great quality, lot's of details, unique style and deserves to be more popular.
A reason why many don't use your pack that i can think of might be the high resolution and animations, zomb is doing a great job providing low res alternatives but once all the terrain and items are done you should think of adding a official low res version with only few important animations.
(In my version of your pack, i use a 128x items.png and no animations, i'm not happy about it because you obviously spend a lot of time making them but those two changes give me about 20fps+. Hopefully mc 1.5 gives me a boost in fps, because i can't use optifine.)
I also wanted to mention the customizer again, there are already a ton of alternate weapons, tools and blocks that should not get forgotten. I understand if you have not enough time at the moment, but IMO customizer has to be done.
Sadly i have no experience on how to promote something, but i support your pack in any way i can.
I totally agree with you, it's really hard to make a addon for this pack, especially the items, that looks fine. But in my opinion i rather play with a recoloured version of some items/blocks than playing with the default 16x textures.
I already made some gui's for BTW and the Iron Chests mod addon that turned out playable. If you telll me what mod you use i can make the guis for you.
-- EXTRABIOMESXL support done --
very quick preview i made!
As always, i make these addons to provide a basic compatibility between vDC and the mod, i can't draw new items so don't expect anything groundbreaking.

At the moment i'm watching your tp review with mcKrawl, lots of fun so far, but i've heard you saying that natural jungle trees grow 3x3 thats not correct natural ones are 2x2.
I think I already hit most of the points above, so let's see...
- Cool. I was just wondering.
- Awesome work on the Extra Biomes! I've added it to the Mod Textures! (love the other colored flowers!)
- Thanks so much for the mod stuff, kind words, support, and feedback! I know I'm getting lazy with this response, but I'm fairly sure I'm partially brain dead.
how about an extra forum, for a vondoomcraft modtexure section?
so the ideas for the pack are gathering here, and all other stuff somewhere else.
would be easier to manage the ideas for the main pack etc...
and about playing mods, well i would add iron chests to my current pack (playing on my private server with friends) so i can inform if something is wrong. and what do u think about balkon weapon mod, and some other mods, like thaumcraft, minions, petbat (already supported in parts) and mo'creatures. thaum and mo'c got alot of textures but still possible (in mo'c the items, not all creatures)
- Exactly what I was thinking, forums-wise!
- As far I go, the only real mod support I do at the moment are little ones that I don't have to make a bunch of completely new stuff for.
Pet Bat, I just forgot to do the Item for. I'll try and have that soon, though I'm not sure I even want to keep the Skeletal bat as the pet one, so that'll come first.
Minions I'm planning on doing! I'm thinking of thowing together little Doombots for the time being; But I'd like to someday have little hunchbacks for them.
Balkon is doable some day, its just got a lot of stuff to do.
Mo' Creatures... I haven't even done my pigs yet...
ok i think this needs a new post so doom can link to this post. i will keep this post updated and link to here.

NEW Vondoomcraft glsl shader files! still work in progress.
DO NOT POST ERROR LOGS HERE. PM THEM TO ME AND I"LL TRY TO SEE WHATS WRONG
instructions:
1. install optifine hd_u_d3
2. install glsl of version 1.05
3. delete meta-inf , create shader folder in jar
4. drag set1 or set2 of shaders into shader folder (only actuall files inside set1, set2 folder). close .jar
5. drag texture files into vdc.
6. delete ctm folder inc random terrain and all block animations. (if u rather anim than bumpmap keep those anims)
7. play and enjoy!
remember to test on new world first (i am not responsible for you losing a world - you have been warned)
there is slight pause when loading new world so just wait for it.
set1 shader file will NOT work for everyone. it is the better option. (they work for me but not doom)
set2 shader is for those who cannot use set1. (better compatibility- missing minor features)
cons: bumpmap only works in certain light conditions.(intensity can be changed in composite.fsh - open with notepad plus - change 1.0 to 0.8) best time is sunrise/sunset. intensive shaders will lower your fps to the point of being unplayable. if you have low fps try running in a window, change optifine settings, 720p etc... or run minecraft with more memory (i have a .bat file if people need it) also the end is stuffed i am trying to fix

credit to bumpmap and compilation: zomb69
credit for testing: emperor doom till 5 in the morning! thanks doom
Excellent! I've added a link to the post in the OP and thrown out little vDC News bits about! Great job again!
edit: the op is looking awesome doom - very well presented.
just played a bit with specular map, got some better nice reflections going on the iron, diamond, gold, lapis and emerald blocks and iron door so far, i plan to make everything that needs to be reflective (e.g the metal frame around lamp, metal parts of wood door etc..)
here a couple more pics:
this one its raining so everything should look wet

OoOOo, those look great!
I'm loving the bumpmaps on the Emerald Block there, especially! (and the Lapis floor pic!!)
Also, why did I never realize you could put paintings on Iron bars??
thanks doom yeah i like the emerald most as well. the best thing with these reflections is they work almost all the time unlike the bumpmap. and they do reflect colours well - i could see the green from a spider at night in the iron (wish i got that shot)
Minecraft refuses to recognize the 32X pack. It just shows default if I select it. Doesn't happen with any other TP.
ok i will look into it ok i see what i did, the 64x had the same problem i realized as well.(probem was the zip has a folder with everything in it, should be no folder) surprised no-one complained sooner. thanks for heads up this was the only time i didn't test them first i am re-uploading right now , will edit post when DONE sorry for inconvenience
ok guys i have fixxed 32x and 64x ports. sorry bout that.
NEW UPDATE VonDoomCraft shader.
new, terrain_s.png with reflective metal/blocks, even reflective rails. get it now from here.
also slight adjustment to shader files.
edit. sorry no new pics right now. probably tomorrow, my internet ran out again. i hate aussie wireless internet it's expensive and sucks. (can't get line to my home)
First off, let me congratulate you on an amazing texture pack. Thank you for spending countless hours producing such high quality work for everyone to enjoy.
Secondly, are there any plans to expand the TP to include other highly used mods (ie. Redpower 2 (when it's released), Thaumcraft, Forestry, Buildcraft, and so on)?
Thanks again, and keep up the great work, it is much appreciated.
I'm running Lubuntu on a Laptop and I have insanely massive lag even with the low rez versions of this pack. Is it possible for someone to make a much less laggy 64x version of this pack for me?
you need mcpatcher or optifine. install intruction on those sites. open minecraft , select texture pack menu, click open folder , drag vdc into that folder.
