This is a texture pack...... although you can probably see that.
As the title implies, this is a 3x3 texture pack.
I have so far created the block textures and the item textures.
I can't figure out how to change the water and lava textures, so if someone could help it would be appreciated.
The clock and compass textures wont work either.
If you find and bugs/mistakes please post them here.
Lol, this is weird. I wonder if there is a 1x1 or 2x2? I would never use anything under 32x32, but I bet you could get frame rate into the 400's with a good computer.

I can get my frames into the 400s while using a 32x pack :tongue.gif:
On topic: Woah, a 3x pack o.O That's... Interesting. Looks pretty good for a 3 bit pack ._.
Talk about low res.

this won't be a really 3x3, its just 16x16 edited...
Yes, but the same is true with all the low-rez packs. 8x8, 4x4, 2x2, 1x1, all of these are technically just 16x16 edited. but that doesn't mean it isn't 3x3, or 4x4. Really, all a 1x1 is is a 16x16 with each block being one solid color. It's still 16x16, but for all intents and purposes it's 1x1. All this is true for all low-rez packs, including mine. so if you have a problem with this being called 3x3, then you don't have to download it.
Congratulations. You can draw draw a bunch of squares- I don't know why these "simple packs" keep getting released. They don't look that great and don't require any effort to make. AFAIK making the image use less colors like this doesn't have any real impact on performance.

Because they're awesome, people want them and people like them.
I don't think this has ever been done before! Just because it's simple doesn't mean that thought and effort didn't go into it and that it's worthless.
So...you turned a truly fair opinion to "OMG 3x3 is teh awesome!!!""
I agree with Northener...sorry. A bunch of squares do not a pack make....

Some 3x3 trees
Some 3x3 blocks
All 3x3 blocks

Also, I'm working on making 8x8 and 4x4 versions of the default textures. It's painfully slow >.<
Actually, I've started on an 8x8 default, but I'll yield to you.
My tip is for most textures you can just expand the top left quarter.

this is actually pretty good!

Hmm... so this is 16x16 'eh? I'm going to test out TRUE 3x3 later... Also check out my TRUE 2x2 texture pack if you want TRUE low res.Sorry. BTW, I would stick with resolutions divisible by 16. 3x3 doesn't tile correctly, it makes it look strange.
