Intro
So I started Futurecraft quite a while ago, and I must say it looks way better than I thought it would. I was looking around the Minecraft forums and internet to try and find a good futuristic texture, but I only found one which I didn't really like. So I started making my own. At first I was just compelled to do password chests and neon strips. But then I got serious and started changing everything. And by everything I mean everything, meaning the title, GUI, mobs, terrain, particles, and even mod-included textures. So try it out, and I hope you like it!
Version 2.0 Overview
Version 2.0 has been released! Sorry about the delay, but I've been very busy lately. I also wanted to get some more work done, but I did my best. So, in version 2.0 I've finished cow and silverfish skins, meaning that all mob skins are now finished (until 1.9 :tongue.gif:). Other not as big changes include an alternate inventory, Some more item texture changes, and many small edits to lang, chicken skin, and a few block textures. I hope this is enough to please you. Anyways, In version 2.0 I will be working on armor and a lot more on items.
-Not started yet -Postponed -On/off -In progress -Finished!
Plans
Now that version 2.0 has been reached, the next versions up to version 3.0 will be mostly focused on armor and items. By the time version 3.0 comes, I plan to be done with all the armor, along with all the items. Some other minor things will be changed too, such as the boat texture, any new stuf in the Beta 1.9 update, and maybe some more gui.

Version 1.0.1 release with a few bug fixes, most notably the pumpkin blur visibility. Also used the Texture pack test drive map for better block quality. I've got two more friends to help me with the texture pack, so mobs should be done pretty quickly. I'm also gonna try to release a new texture pack version every Sunday from now on. And where are the suggestions? On the forum, I can see I have tons of views (600+) but only 2 replies...

"The best defense against a nuclear bomb is to not be there when it goes off."
This looks really cool! I'm gonna try this out right now :biggrin.gif:
Edit:
I just tried it out, and it looks fantastic! I do hope you continue updating this, with mobs changed and all.
The tools look great too! They have such a futuristic look to them, like light-sabers and stuff.
I'm pretty sure you probably already noticed this, but the torches still have flames on them. It looks to me like you meant to get rid of them, but just to be sure, I think you need to either get rid of the flames, or if that's not possible, I suggest making the flames fit with the torch.
I like the look of TNT especially, it's like a time-bomb. I never noticed how they are like a time-bomb before, and that it takes 5 seconds to blow up.
I also think you shouldn't make wood so ... so... futuristic. It's hard to tell what it is, because it doesn't look like it belongs. Unless you're already planning to make the leaves different, I thought I'd just tell you you should.
Edit:
As I started to play for real (not just look around) I noticed the sun was setting. I was like WTF, the clock says it's midday! Alas, it still began to grow dark.
So basically, you're going to have to fix the clock, it's about half a day off.
Other than those few suggestions and comments, I think this texture pack looks fantastic! Keep up the good work. to you.
Thanks for the feedback, derenit! And yes, I have taken all the problems you have named into account:
Updates: Of course I'll keep updating! I love this texture pack and so do all my friends, who I'm not gonna let down!
Torches: I do notice that the torches have flames on them, and I do intend to find a way to delete it.
Wood: Actually, wood was supposed to look like logs in a glass case, but as you can see, I kind of failed on that part, and I will edit it soon.
Leaves: I was going to change the leaves, but I kind of like the way they look. I might make them a gray tint to look metalic, but I'll see what happens.
Watch: Yeah, I noticed that. It was fine, but after I edited it a bit I realized it was fudged up, I know what the problem is, and I'll fix it in the next update.
Again, thanks for the feedback, and I hope I can keep this up!

"The best defense against a nuclear bomb is to not be there when it goes off."
Hello pplz! So I have just updated Futurecraft with Version 1.1, adding a few new skins items, and bug fixes. I also reorganized my post as you can see, and you could find more info on this update at the beginning of the thread.
And don't forget that help and suggestions are always wanted!
So version 1.2 has been released, and you can find more information in the thread. But basically lots of items were changed, along with the creeper skin and some other stuff. Also, I can now see how much people have downloaded my texture pack, and it seems the number is above 10,000!!!!
Judging from the pictures, it looks like a rather simplistic approach, reminds me of some of the Halo texture packs I have seen out there.
There is little to no shading and the drawing, although unique, is simplistic, it could defiantly use some work and some basic shading at least.
But it appears that at least a moderate amount of effort has been put into it, and personally its not really my style, but its rather mediocre.
Keep working on it, and experiment with blending different colours, and it could turn from mediocre to excellent.
Edit:
This is implying that the clean lines and simple colours are not actually intended part of the pack, I apologize if it is, I am just used to working with shading different colours for realistic looking effect, I am not used to the simplistic clean approach that much
Ya, I'm still not pretty sure what the problem is. My friends were saying that too. This texture pack is made on mac, so that might be a part of it...
I think I figured out a fix for Windows:
Using WinRAR I moved the contents from the 'Texture Pack' folder out into the main Zip folder, that seemed to fix the problem.
EDIT: After exploring a world it appears that that fixed it.
