So I'm trying to make some new textures for my monsters and such, but I'm finding it hard to visualize the actual look without going into the game and finding that monster first.
It's proving quite difficult, especially with slimes because I can't find any.
Are there any programs that will put the mobs' textures into a 3D viewer so I can see them as they would appear in-game?
You probably know this, but zombies use the same format as the players. So you can use a skin editing program to do them. Skeletons too, kinda.
Otherwise I've found that eventually you learn how the textures apply to mobs and you can start visualizing them easier without going in game to test. Finding a screenshot of a monster and really analyzing it, comparing it to the original textures also helps. It's a lot of pixel counting, though.
