I have a few things to note, the mossy cobble stone looks like its solidly covered in vines, not sure if that's really 'mossy' if you will... and im assuming youre going to do the tools eventually?
I do plan to make the mossy cobble look more like... mossy cobble. :wink.gif: But I love my green vine texture so much, it's hard to part with it.
I have no plans to do the tools, but that could change. I gather that you're suggesting for me to do that?
Well, you could darken the tools a bit, like you've done the terrain... and i guess, tweak them more than anything? Never really done this before, so i hope this helps! ^^
Version 1.6 released. See original post for details and download link and a few new screenshots. It features many changes in response to suggestions, and then some more. :smile.gif:
Thanks for the comments everybody. And no, I haven't had flan. But I have had egg custard and I love it, so I suppose I'll have to have flan some day.
I plan to edit the tools one day, but it's low priority.
If more people don't like the gravel, I may change it, but I like it as it is. :smile.gif:
By updated i assume you mean 1.6 not 1.6.4... so that means no hatches! Dx
My favorite texture pack is now... not working, so it appears its default time ;w;
I love this pack. In fact, i'm using it right now :3 My only complaints are the brown mushrooms, they look more like dead shrubs than mushrooms, and the smooth stone needs to be smoother, its too rough, and last but not least, the cobblestone looks "man made" if you will, i think cobblestone needs to look like something man made and something lave and water coliding would create. Other than those, its great!

1.6 had hatches. But it should work with all versions of 1.6. The only thing missing was the map icon, which is fixed now. And my change log at the top says that it has hatches. So download and enjoy!
Awesome to hear that this is your favorite texture pack. :smile.gif:

The brown mushrooms are coral fungi. Because I love coral fungi. :biggrin.gif:
The very core of my soul demands that the "smooth stone" (I call it raw stone) be rough.
The cobblestone looks very man-made. It fits the dungeons well, and works great for building cool stuff. Short of mods, we cannot have cut stone otherwise. I know it's odd that water + lava = man-made stones, but Minecraft cannot be totally realistic. Little trees drop out of big trees and bushes drop wheat seeds. :tongue.gif:
Sorry for rejecting every one of your suggestions! I very much appreciate the feedback, and that you're using my texture pack.
Oh! Well now that i understand what the "Mushrooms" are, i can appreciate your creativity! ;D And i can live with the way the smooth stone looks lol keep how ever YOU want it, those were mere suggestions. And one last thing, i do indeed love how cobblestone looks, those were just my thoughts on it.
Anyways, again, I love your pack! and i cant wait to see what you can bring texture wise in the future!

And i'm actually thinking of making my own personal (Possibly for public use) texture pack, so if you could give me some pointers and give me some criticism when its a WIP, that would be great!

Sure!
- Quit your job.
- Move to a cabin in the woods. Alone. With electricity and internet.
- Bring lots of dry foods.
- Dedicate the next month of your life to this act.
:tongue.gif: More seriously, the best advice I can offer is to make all the textures match. You make make incredibly simple stuff look awesome if it is all complementary, with styles that match, and colors that go good together (not just the hue, but the saturation and brightness as well). If you are going to use GIMP to make it, I can give you some suggestions on that. I'd be glad to take a look at your work whenever.
GIMP is free. In fact, out of Paint.net, GIMP, and Photoshop, only Photoshop costs anything.

"Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say that there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe." -Frank Zappa
Is gimp free? I really don't have the money for a paid one :tongue.gif: p.s I'm 13 by the way;)
Like BOX MAAAN said, GIMP is free. It takes some getting used to, though. So if you decided to use it, let me know, and I'll give you some advice. I've never tried Paint.NET, so I can't speak for it. GIMP has everything I've ever needed.
And, in that case, drop out of school instead of quitting your job. =P
OOOOOhhhhhh, this pack looks amazing! I love that you instead of trying to get every block by itself to look good, you focus on the very "feel" of the pack! Nice work! This is much better and more professionally made than any other pack I have seen. I hope you keep updating it!
Nevermind my other post, I figured it out :wink.gif:
Check out my screenshots located in my post and tell me what you think.
And to all the players looking at this Pack, it's amazing! I highly recommend it!

Thanks! I used to play MC with Doku's 32x32 RPG pack, and I really really liked it. I'm not sure if any of his packs are updated to MC 1.6, but they definitely are more professional than mine. :smile.gif:
Look at DokuCraft, that's at the top of the page 24/7 and is really, really cool!
I don't really like DokuCraft that much, even though I loved his RPG pack... Even my world designed while playing with his RPG pack doesn't look that great with DokuCraft IMO. His wheat is awesome, though! :tongue.gif:

Added the map icon (oops), and changed the hatches to have four panes instead of one.

Also..your pics for 1.6 have the Minecraft watermark thingy for unvalidated clients...just pointing that out..

No, it's a genuine legal copy. I payed the dues. It always says that when I choose to play offline.
