Hello!

This is just me, uglyduckling, asking all of you at minecraft forums to NOT flame people just because they have a bad texture pack. Instead say something like;


Hey, [insert pack creator's name], great pack! But it isn't my type. [Insert reasons why]
But other than that, i give you a %$#@ load of

but this does not mean praise them falsly, just praise them for making a pack in whitch they put effort!


Or something like that. but, you get my drift. this is NOT me forcing you to do this, just asking a favor.

If i put this in the wrong forum, tell me where to move it.

If you say that, it makes you sound like a retarded man who can't get the difference between something good and something bad.

If no one likes it, it won't be bumped and it will eventually be out of people's sight.

That's not what im saying. im saying if YOU dont like it dont cuss them out and flame them. im saying be nice to the creator. Punish the pack, not the Person.

Most people who make texture pack have the required amount of braincells to understand and know how to take in criticism. The worst thing you could do is falsely praise a badly made pack. No one will improve from those kind of comments and if you're not ready to accept criticism then you probably shouldn't be posting your pack on a forum, for people to use, discuss, and criticize...

yeh... just don't even reply to it. unless it's something you really like.

But what if they didn't put effort into it? What if it was one of the one hundred simple texture packs, or a doku clone? Perhaps even a painterly customizer pack. If that's the case, I think they deserve to be flamed.

Yeah, but still make sure the criticism is at least constructive. It still isn't right to flame another person's pack. But false praising isn't the way to go.

1. Constructive criticism
2. Ignore the pack entirely

Those are the two best ways to deal with a poorly made pack. And IVI4tt, just cause it's the internet, doesn't mean you have the right to hurt someone's feelings. Innocent people don't deserve that pain. Who taught you you're common sense?

Naah, I'd say 95%. More than half the texture packs here are either doku clones, simple texture packs, or MS Paint ****.

Yeah, I've really only been here for about a week or so, I believe. But i Get used to forums fairly quickly. Really, almost every creeper image is used in somebody's avatar.
