Good work. I'd make a texture pack, but I'm scared that
1. I won't finish it.
2. It will turn out boring and unoriginal.
3. It will be ugly.
4. Everyone will hate it.
5. Everyone will hate me.

Love the ores and the pumpkinss!
I am so totally not positive enough.

Don't be like that! If you really put effort into it, you can really make something neat! You just need to try. Everybody has their own style. This is mine, and I'm sure you could make something great! Just give it a try. =)
I like the earlier style from around version 1.8 more than version 2.7... Do you think maybe you could update version 1.8 for Minecraft version 1.6 and put that up for download? Thanks :smile.gif:

Sorry, I don't really feel like doing that right now. I have a BIG update coming up soon... All the items done! (kinda) and the pack officially contains NO MORE NOISE! =D
I fixed it all. The nether. the saplings. The wheat. I even re-did all of the wildgrass textures and added custom blue and purple flowers! It'll be one hell of an update! =P

Sorry for the bump, but I'd like some opinions on some ores I made that might replace the old if liked enough. The old of course will be kept as alts! I just need to know if you guys would like to see these new ones be the default.
The top are the new ones. Tell me what you think and leave a post!
Oh, and there'll be a new grass texture too!

I like both the ores but I lean more towards the first but you pack and your choice and if you change keep them in alts so I can keep them the same.
Don't worry, they'll be in the alts. =)
I've decided to keep the new ores. They lean towards the less-artificial look I'm going for now. I like them. Of course, they'll be available as alts. Same with the old grass. =)
I'll be releasing 2.8 later today! (hopefully!)
Hmm, let me think of all I changed...
Chests, darkened and added trim! (Thanks maker of Adventurer Pack!)
Grass looks way less patternized! (Don't care if that's not a real word!)
Changed the ores to be less squared!
Changed the torches to look less generic!
Added some awesome grass shaders! (Even a rainbow one!)
Changed Minecraft logo again! Now says fiftyninecraft. :tongue.gif:
Added some new alts including longer grass and the old grass/ores!
Fixed up the nether textures to get rid of the noise!
Added textures for custom moon and sun!
Fixed some minor problems with the bed texture!
New wheat textures look more solid!
Completely fixed and redid the Wildgrass textures! (Purple and blue flower FTW!)
New trapdoor texture!
Smoothed the smooth stone texture a bit more!
Gold trim on the workbenches! (Thanks maker of Adventurer Pack!)
DIAMOND trim on the note block and jukebox! (Thanks maker of Adventurer Pack!)
Completely redid the leaves on the saplings!
Added some vines on the pumpkins to make them less plain! (Thanks creator of DefaultPlus!)
Wow. That sounds pretty fair. :tongue.gif:
I'll be releasing this when I get on my main computer. I promise that this extremely improves the pack! :biggrin.gif:
Oh, and I'll be updating Cobblecraft soon too. I completely forgot about that pack! :ohmy.gif:
I was just gonna pm you back but then I was like, nah, I'll post here. This is a review regarding your next release btw (or current, depending when I submit this lol)
First of all, I suggest you clean up your download section, putting the newest version on the top and the old ones, in a different font or size at the bottom, with at least a space between the current one and the old ones. It seriously took me like a minute to find the download lol.
Now, I can't say I've been keeping up with this pack, but comparing the version 2.7 and 2.8 I have to say I don't like some of the changes. First, I love the snow covered grass in this image, and I strongly suggest you bring something like that back. Just a tad bit of grass under the snow haha.
Now, I built a little set to test out your pack and I have to say I quite like it. It has an awesome feeling to it, like all the texture go together through the colors you've chosen, though some no longer due in this update.
V 2.7
V 2.8
For one, I ****ing love the wooden planks. They go so well with the other wooden objects like the bench and all that. The new gold rim on the bench and the blue rim on the jukebox are extremely out of place however. The metal on the chest isn't exactly my favorite, as I don't like iron and wood mixing too much, but it's not as bad as the bench and jukebox lol. The hatch looks amazing, and the torches, like the chests, are ok. It gives a bit more variety to the previous brown color scheme. The windows are also amazing. Same with the wool. I suggest you sort of light up the top portion of the furnace for the lit up version though, and add your own books (the current ones are too bright).
V 2.7
V 2.8
The grass and dirt is amazing, never change that. The tree bark I feel could use a bit of lighting up (sort of like what you did to the stone, but just a bit) and while I do think the old stone clashed too much with the cobble, I don't like the new pale one. It's just too... pale lol. You should make it a mix between the old and new one, and maybe give the cobble the slightest brown tint to differ from the stone better and stand out as more unique. The mossy cobble could use a bit more fine detail if you ask me, like more differentiation between dark and light moss and overall greener or more worn out and cracked cobble.
The tall grass is pretty cool and it goes nice with the pack, but the wheat and sugar cane are both way too bright. I feel the sugar cane would look better if it had a bit of a brownish/ orange tint to it (just a tint), and the wheat could be more dynamic and duller green. Same with the flowers. I've never been a fan of gigantic, meter tall flowers. I think something like the tall grass with tiny flowers in it would look better. Same with the mushrooms and saps.
Also, did you ever try making ores into veins, instead of chunks? Everyone makes chunks of ores and it'd be nice to see someone step out of the comfort zone and make something more unique with them. Veins of ores sort of flowing in between the stone and tiling together when in groups would look awesome.
Yeah, that's it for my review, keep up the good work :tongue.gif:
No, sorry, its on my main world which is huge haha.
The ores would look better if they were skinnier and didn't have a stone border around them, so like when the tile next to each other it looks like the vine sort of flows from one block to another. Also, your shading is pretty consistent all throughout, so i suggest you make it look more embossed in the stone in some parts by making it darker.
WHOA WHOA WHOA! Who authorized the change!? I mean, my good man, I loved this pack before.
It was my regular. Like a woman it was to me, so caring and embracing, now she's off with some
hipster in his 'totally 70s' lookin apartment playing gameboy 1 and givin him handy js.
I don't think I have the map sprite on the items.png. I'll fix that tomorrow.
1. I won't finish it.
2. It will turn out boring and unoriginal.
3. It will be ugly.
4. Everyone will hate it.
5. Everyone will hate me.

If I were you, I'd do exactly the same thing as you would, because I'd be you. Duh.

Heh, I like how much ore there is. =)
I'm so cool cause I say I'm cool like all the cool kids.

My try at veiny ores:
Tell me what you think!
Oh, and didn't do coal because you don't see coal in veins.
EDIT:
Any chance I could have a download for that test map? That'd be great for finding out what worked good. Thanks!
