i'm afraid I haven't finished enough to be worth an update today, although I'm experimenting with new torch designs.
Apologies, although i'll do my best to get one out tomorrow.
Very good pack, just checked the server and you weren't online, so I will post here. I have some problems with the pack however:
The pack in general seems very fancy and elaborate, based on wizardry and magic and stuff. So I think the glass should have many more fancy flourishes on them in the corners, having all these fancy blocks around me and then seeing the glass being plain and simple makes it stand out quite a bit, so if I could suggest anything it would be to make the glass a bit better. Perhaps look at Gerudoku for something similar to what I was imagining.
Also the torches, the top blue bits can look a little over-powering when there are many of them in one place, so I would suggest slimming the top bits down a bit to make them more streamlined.
This is more of a personal opinion but I would prefer to have the wood a slightly darker shade, in most of my buildings the wood doesn't blend too well with what I have put.
Overall though, it's a great pack, and has the ability to compete with my other favourite pack, the incredibly popular Gerudoku. ]
Great pack!
(Also, I'm a noob at making texturesm is there a way to replace the moon? There is a moon that I really like and would like to edit it in, but I don't know how. :[)
Thanks again!
I actually like every suggestion and comment you have :biggrin.gif:, i'll try to do all that after I finish the items, at which point i'll do improvements and tweaks before moving on to the armour. and to replace the moon, find the folder within the pack named terrain (not terrain.png, there's also a folder called terrain) within which are some images, the one you want to replace is moon.png with the image of the one you prefer, which has to be called moon.png as well. That is exactly the kind of polite, thought out and useful comment that I like, thanks.
Edit: and thanks for the comment about gerudoku, doku/gerudoku are the only packs i've ever used other than this one, and it was sort of made to be an alternative to gerudoku.
this is unfinished and has some stray pixels and stuff.. so... yay or nay? i'm thinking nay, but I'm hoping for some feedback and ideas(for example: nay, because ___ ). oh, and blue fire or normal red/orange fire?
this is going to be unpopular i think, but I do ultimately make this pack for my own enjoyment, and I like this a lot more. still, comments and requests are good as always, i just can't promise i'll make it less noisy...
thanks :smile.gif:, and the torch flame was at it's maximum size in that screen, for the most part it remains smaller however. I'll post the update in about an hour i think, lemme know if it seems to big whenever you are able to try it in game.
i'd like to mention I started a vague outline for seeds, but never did anything more, so no, the random light green blobs you see aren't the texture...
I seem to be having troubles with getting this particular texture pack to work.
I have patched my Minecraft with the HD fix.
I have taken the Arcane folder out of the zip, and recompressed it into it's own archive.
I have placed said archive in my texture packs folder.
For some reason, when I select the Arcane texture pack, I end up with the default Minecraft textures.
[Edit] Nevermind, I got it figured out, now. This is a really neat looking pack!

Thanks :smile.gif:. would you mind mentioning what you did? It would be nice to know in case it helps others who have difficulties, but are unable to figure it out themselves.
next update will be tomorrow, i'm trying to get a lot more of the items done. I haven't taken screens yet, but once i do a few more, i'll post a bunch of screens. maybe tomorrow morning.
so far i've done the following items icons this evening.
-bread
-seeds
-wheat
-clock
-paintings (the icon for it that is, ornemental heraldry)
-snowball
-leather (although it's not to my satisfaction yet)
I'll also finish fish today, and do the dyes, cocoa beans, and bonemeal tomorrow.
:biggrin.gif: this means tomorrows update will have a nice amount of new stuff.
here are some item screens:
benji, unable to get outta da ****in frame
bread
their's a cooked one finished as well, i was just lazy with taking screens :tongue.gif:
now the majority of the items are done... so todays' update is pretty much ready, although I may start on more armor as well. oh, and the plans for the armor are
chain-alchemists gloves, goggles, apron, etc
leather-sort of like the diamond, but less ornate
gold- jewels and golden trinkets... kingly
new version out! I didn't have time to do new armours, but I did almost all of the items... some may need tweaks still, but overall the items.png is getting pretty close to a first completed version.
in preperation for the tall grass, i'm going to redo the wheat(terrain not item) to fit with my plans for the tall grass, which will replace regular grass in dropping seeds. so hopefully whatever the tall grass ends up looking like, the wheat will just look like a more cultivated version of it.
