Mac: Save the textures you want, go to Finder, then Library, then Application Support, then minecraft, then bin, then open the minecraft.jar Java file with the Archive Utility, and that should make it into a folder (you don't have to do this step if you did it already) rename the Java file old.jar, rename the new folder minecraft.jar, open the folder, find the file that says "mobs," drag the textures in, rename the texture you want as the tame wolf wolf_tame.png, the angry wolf as wolf_angry.png, and the wild wolf as wolf.png, and take out the old wolf_tame.png, wolf_angry.png, and wolf.png.
Windows: Save the textures you want, go to start, type in %appdata%, click in roaming, click on minecraft, click on bin, open minecraft.jar Java file with Winrar, find the file that says "mobs," drag the textures in, rename the texture you want as the tame wolf wolf_tame.png, the angry wolf as wolf_angry.png, and the wild wolf as wolf.png, and take out the old wolf_tame.png, wolf_angry.png, and wolf.png.
Sorry if the Windows doesn't work for you, I used to add mods to my game when I used to have a Windows, so I suppose that's how it should work, but it might be different for Windows 8, I don't know. There are videos if this doesn't work.

If by any chance that Dj persnikity sees this,
I for one think this is one of the best forums, and that i think that you should continue it,
but if you don't its 100% fine its understandable there's a lot of stress making textures and you're overrun by all the demands/little time with work and all.
But i think you should at least try maybe a texture or two get into the swing of things and if it does't work it does't work, but by some chance that you want to continue then don't ware you're self out gradually get into it, don't rush and get bored again take your time. But it never hurts to try...
Hey, I have an English Bulldog myself. So this is amazing! But do you think you can make the bulldog more 3d? Like have a little tail popping out, like the wolfs in Minecraft? Same with the Nose. Is this possible? I like it either way, just curios. ANd becuase I have a 64x64 texture pack can it be 64x64? If this is not too much too ask for. But I really like it anyways just tell me if it can not be done.
