Ye, if you have Wolf Variation mod, and change the skins, wolves wont just look like one, but they'll look like a bunch. I have 2 Okami Dogs, 1 Jack Russle, 1 Fox Dog, and 1 African Wild Dog. (Ps: They change skins evertime I log in and out)
I put the templates for Okami in the mob folder in the jar, but when I look at a wolf it look the same as the minecraft dog. :tongue.gif: Do I have to delete the Wolf.png picture in the folder?

You're welcome. I'm also impressed by your innovation. You seem to be the first to have discovered the benefit of transparency in mob textures. Seems odd that we never thought to use that in anything besides the skeletons before now. It's likely just a matter of time before other artists turn that discovery to other mob types. Imagine a creeper that looked more like a bush - perhaps using the leaf textures of a tree?

I tried it with a texture pack and without it but it doesnt work. :sad.gif:
Did you just make a copy of that texture pack, rename it to "Texture pack 'X' alt wolf" then open that pack's JAR, replace the wolf in the "mobs" folder (if there are not any mobs included in the pack, make a folder called 'mobs' EDIT: inside the JAR)then start up the game. Don't forget to put the "Texture pack 'X'" in the Mods and Texture packs folder in your .minecraft folder. You will have to rename the wolf that you want to "wolf_tame/wolf_angry/wolf_wild. Hoped that helped
