Heck yeah, have you seen my "Big Tuna" skin? That thing's HUUUUUUUUGE, lol, and you don't have to do anything special to run it in game.

As for the original wolf template from game... I'm not allowed to give that out. No one is, lol. But you have one if you have the game! It's in your mob folder (just make a backup of the skin so you don't lose it forever)

Would that matter? Just curious, it's not like you can make a whole pirated version of Minecraft with skins.

Why would this be illegal? It's not like you can make a Minecraft with just skins.

It's not illegal but Notch has asked that his original works not be released unless you buy the game (don't know why). I'll bow and respect Notch in that department, though. Looking for the quote from him stating this.

Open the texture pack you want it in. Drag it into the mob folder. If you want the image for your tamed wolf name it "wolf_tame.png" If you want the image for your wild wolves name it "wolf.png" If you want the image for your angry/insane wolf name it "wolf_angry.png"
