I'm currently working on a simple texture pack, everything has a smooth outline, 16x, all based on the default texture, very little noise, made by hand. I basically redrawn everything using a smooth and small brush, shade it and give it a subtle outline. I think I've done around 2/4 or 3/4 of the main textures, but as soon as I do more, I'll update here. I'll do mobs after the main textures, don't really know if I want to texture the items, but that's a question for later, check out the pack below!
Only real problem i have with this is that the little shaded line along the edges doesn'e tile well.
It's only really noticable on the dirt, sand and smoothstone.
If i were you I'd probably remove that bit of shading from the edge, and add in a little noise on the dirt andd smoothstone.
For the sand, I would do a wavy texture, blurred of course.
Otherwise, definitely a great pack.
Wish still water had an animation, although I must say it is very pretty.
You also have some of the best wood.ever.

Wool, Chest, Furnace, Dispenser, Workbench, Obsidian, Ice, Iron/Gold/Diamond Block, Lapis Lazuli, Dark Wood, Birch Wood, Sandstone, Cactus, Glass, Clay and Note Block DONE!
What's left:
Leaves, Torches, Doors, Stairs, Redstone, Cake, Repeater, Wheat, Sugar Cane, Bed, Pumpkin, Nether Blocks, Farmland, Flowers, Mushrooms and Sapling.
