Hello guys, i'm currently working on my texture pack, "Tartarian Texture Pack"
As of now i'm finished with all blocks in the game, the sun, the moon and a good chunk of the item icons. So my question is when is a texture pack fit for release?
I'm asking this because this is my first texture pack and i don't want to rush things and release an unfinished product. So what do people do in these situations?
Thanks in advance

and...lol you are off to a good start..it looks like you built it specifically to look good with the builds you have going, and it matches very well. I'm not really feeling the chests and bookcases as they seem overdone/out of place with the rest of the textures. but that's just my opinion.
I would say when the terrain.png is done enough to not look strange, which if you're using default textures as a base and yours looks nothing like them, is most blocks (all common blocks, like dirt, gravel, stone, wood planks, etc). If you're using another texture pack as a base and it looks similar, you could probably get away with having about half of the blocks done. You could release yours now.
Also, the chest and bed look a bit odd. I think it's a lack of shading in comparison to everything else, mostly. They're also a little bright for my tastes.
This is a nice pack, especially for your first. And yes, I do believe that it's ready to release. The chest seems to lack a distinguishable edge though...

If, by some freak chance the usual nonsense I generate seems to help you, there's a nice shiny green + button to tell me that I'm doing the right thing

Curse Premium90% of texturepacks on this forum don't have all of that done.. that is a ridiculous standard to try to set.
I've decided that once my items file (minus the armours) is finished i'll release an early build of it :smile.gif:
