Right now the on random CTM textures are the pumpkin and jack-o-lantern faces. I do plan on do a little more with grass and sand to add a bit of variation at some point. But I also don't want to go too crazy because if I decide to change one texture, I'd have to change it and the 15 variations.
The next version will have connected wool textures, improved sandstone textures, and improved stair textures using CTM.
NOOOO!!! ;~; I'm try not to be rude but I really hate this update! I personally liked the darker version.. This new version is just bleh >.< Gah. Can you please continue to update the older version or maybe if someone else did and just continued off the old look? It's that or I might be able to undo all the updates you've done to it.. >.<"" Sorry bone.. I know you've worked hard to make an awesome texture pack..
I suspect it would be fairly easy for someone to take the new blocks and darken them enough to fit with the old pack. But that someone isn't going to be me. I just don't have the energy to maintain multiple packs.
I'm pretty happy with the where it is. I liked the old, darker version too, so it took me awhile to warm up to the idea of making it brighter. Now that I've gotten used to it, the old pack feels way too dark. Plus, I can play it on my work computer without cranking up the brightness and turning off the lights in my office.
Hm, there is certainly nothing wrong with the brightness though in my opinion the old darkness was quite right. It fit the melancholy of the pack a bit better, though that's just my opinion I think it'd be rather nice whenever you decide to set up the customizer if you had dark alternatives to the current textures.
I would certainly be against JUST darkening the pack altogether if you decided not to release the alt texture eventhough I like it darker, after the work that went into it. It really isn't too much trouble for anyone who wanted to just darken the new textures as you said. Especially if you have photoshop you even listed the exact values in the post, but if someone didn't know what they were quite doing, or didn't have photoshop it's probably a little annoying especially getting the contrast correct.
That small deal aside though the pack is gorgeous especially the aesthetic on all of the end materials, I like the black and blue and the ring textures you put on the enderchests are pretty interesting it all fits very well, I like the color changes as well! Though I do have to ask, because I plan on messing with the pack myself as usual. What are all of the thumb files for, I THINK I know what they do but I'm just curious if they have any impact on the pack?
Oh, that sounds very nice. I very much look forward to that!
Annnd, no it's just something I saw on tv once, it was a show if I'm not mistaken?
Though if that was his username that's even better honestly, pft
I'd be super happy if someone took Isabella Classic and ran with it. And I wish I was able to do it myself but I have to work on a pack that I want to use (and right now it's Isabella II) or else I'd have no motivation to get anything done on it.
Going from new to old:
brightness: -25
contrast: +15
-minus snow
+desaturate the stone
That would get you pretty close. I mean, close enough that you could swap in old textures no problem.
Anyways:
The thumbnail files are just leftover files that windows generates. I sometimes delete them after I made the zip, but most of the time I don't bother. They do inflate the pack by about 200 kb, though
And I agree, and completely understand. Also I have added the newer textures to my old classic texture sheet, just darkening them and desaturating them slightly as you said and it does fit very well.
Hey Bonemouse! I gotta say Isabella II is looking great! Your texture pack is the only one I've ever been able to really use for a long time. The User Interface is amazingly simple and that alone sold the texture pack for me. A lot of other texture packs have over-cluttered user interfaces, flowers (yours are nice and simple) and torches. Isabella Classic and Isabella II are amazing! Keep up the good work! and when you get a customiser up for Isabella II, any chance you could let people use the old birch wood planks texture? i like it more than the new one. Thanks!!
The customizer issue is a bit complicated because last I checked it didn't support a lot of features that I have come to rely on for the design of the pack that are features in OptiFine or MCPatcher. So we'll have to wait and see if and how that site gets updated.
I might and try to unbrighten it. Though, Bone if I am able to do it would you host the classic here or would it be fine for me to make a new forum entirely? Your choice. So some other people might not have to do it Just a thought. Get back to me whenever!
Also, what did you brighten? I'm guessing just the terrain but there might be something that I might miss. If you could list that would be great!
Yah, just the terrain. I also didn't touch the snow bits or the breaking animation.
As for hosting...
I'd like to be able to point people towards an updated Isabella Classic by linking it. This could either be a link to a mediafire (or whatever host you choose) or to a forum post. If you think you are going to update it a lot (more then once a week), I'd prefer you create your own thread or figure out someway so I don't have to constantly update my post.
Also,
I have added a poll to the OP to find out if people prefer OptiFine or MCPatcher.
And, with the new TP distribution system for servers, it might be fun to have a list in the OP of servers that use Isabella II, Isabella Classic, or any derivatives. So let me know.

I'll most likely just take your updates and undo all the updates. Not really change it.
So just update it on your post I'll start now~
Sir bonemouse,i bring news from far lands.
I fixed my problem.i was using the A7 optifine,and this bugged out.
However,the better grass is troubling me now.
when i use it,the sides of the grass are a blank layout.
Can you help me?
@badjman
Got the link and will update the OP post soon.
@Conker
Isn't OptiFine supposed to improve performance on bad computers? Either way, still focusing on MCPatcher as my gold standard. I just wanted to see how much effort to put into making it OptiFine compatible too.
@Vira
What's your better grass setting? Fancy or fast?
Either way, I'm not exactly the best person to ask for modding help.
I know, i thought it was going to help me but no, it just crashed my computer... So the i only use McPatcher, it adds a little bit of lag but at least allows me to see textures correctly so i think is Ok.
