First of all, that's a cool name. I might want to consider naming the themes after weather instead of elements. Much more evocative.
That said, I really, really don't want to make an overwhelming amount of work for myself. So I'd like to stick with four and only four.
I also won't be providing more then four alternates (one for each theme.)
Going forward, I will be releasing the pack under the Creative Commons Attribution License. This means that anybody is allowed to use my pack (for commercial or non-commercial purposes) as long as I'm given credit. Attribution License also doesn't require that person to offer their work under the same license (as opposed to the more common Creative Commons Share Alike License.) Though, I hope that people take my cue and do offer it under the same license (or at least a non-commercial share alike license.)
Why am I mention this? Well, if I go with the four elements theme, in theory, someone could roll with this Thunderstorm idea and release their own theme pack. This would benefit me by taking a little bit of the work off my plate and benefit the community by providing more options.
Re: Custom Portal Animation
Yes! I will do that. I did some experiments, before I started this revision, where I recoloured the flowing water animation and used it for the portal. It worked decently. At the time I abandoned it because I didn't realize that custom colours had added portal particles. It looked off with the bright purple particles against the more mauve portal animation.
...oooooh, screenshots? I like the shaders mod, but it's too performance-heavy (and a bit buggy) to use with my usual mod load-out to play comfortably, but I'd love to see how it looks, especially as I always thought they're a bit too bright in the videos I've seen.
Sure, I can run smoothy without one single lag spike on multiplayer.
Looks the same on single player, but without the wheat, leave and grass lag since the server has lag and the waving things stutter every 3 seconds.
Not at home right now but I'll take some screenshots once I get back home.
It could be four versions of Stephen or four different skins (one of them being Stephen.)
I like the idea of each theme having a different default character, as if to say, "this is a different tale, another chapter in the story of Isabella." I'm very fond of minimalist storytelling, and Isabella has always done a wonderful job of letting players tell themselves Stephen's tale, rather than telling it to them; it would be neat to have other similar stories to build upon (pun initially unintended, but now embraced.)
I think I'll be better off just creating a brand new animation. I didn't save the photoshop files of the lava-turned-portal, so I'd have to recreate it anyways.

The new pine leaves are really cool! Also, please don't change the cocoa bean texture it fits very nice with the pack also the new locked chest is perfect for decorations and stuff!
I really like the pine leaves too. I made them by complete accident, too. I was doing a mockup to try and figure out the density of the foliage. I took the leaves texture and reduced the width by 50%. Then I placed two copies side by side and flipped/rotated one. Saved it, loaded the game and was like, yesssss!

I have just started making textures and I wanted to ask, how did you make a pack that was this good?
I've tried countless texture packs and I end up with this one every time.

Anyway, nice work on the latest Beta!

Thanks!
And considering I've been using your beta Summer Version, I adjusted them to better
fit my liking.

Curse PremiumI've been in a coding hole and haven't actually "played" in a while...so I'm a bit behind... these new textures look great!
