I am afraid I can't use an alternate, I only have MS Paint and I don't want to copy paste it everytime when there's a new version. Could you put up a new download?

You could get Paint.net or GIMP.

Ah yes, but I have an unfortunate lazyness, and I have no knowledge about those two programs. Therefore, if I try to use it, I most likely will do something wrong and stupid. Plus, it would be a pain for me to paste the terrain image again, save the terrain.png, then move it into the zip file in every update.
Actually I'm using risu's error tester since that bypasses the launcher (it was nice, but it takes a while to load now... & I don't know any other way to get rid of that launcher now). I tried to replace, but upon choosing Isabella it reset. I'll try again later, but it seems wooden steps have a glitch for me.
@MetroFan180
I rather teach a man to fish, to be quite honest. At some point I'll give some of these alternatives a fare shake and if I feel they work better, then I'll include them in the official version. But I guarantee it'll be quicker to try and figure out Paint.NET.
@hikarushirou
Try replacing the char.png in the mob folder. Beyond that, I can't really help.
Also, the stair thing is a known bug in Minecraft and only appears when you don't use smooth lighting. You can turn on smooth lighting, use half steps, or just wait until Notch updates and hopefully fixes the bug.
I haven't posted in this thread in a while, and I'm not really posting anything constructive but screw it:
I love the new jukebox. I still think 'speaker' when I see it, but it's more of a suggestion than a moodbreaker. The pallete swap made a world of difference.
Also, your cake... pastry thing. It's awesome. I'd noticed it before but never commented on it. Is it like a cinnamon roll or what? Either way it fits with the pack and looks delicious. And big thanks for keeping all of those alternates in there. I'm currently using the "redder" netherrack.
I don't have any criticism right now, but I promise I'll think of some at some point.
@Lil_BrOwNiE247
Try right-clicking on a file (terrain.png, for example) instead of a folder when sending it to a compressed folder. You also might want to start Googling this stuff. This is getting into the realm of general tech support and that's beyond my intended scope.
UPDATE
[*:2e8f0q0u]New Achievements UI
[*:2e8f0q0u]Painting frames made to match the rest of the pack.
[*:2e8f0q0u]Paintings themselves have been desaturated a little to match the rest of the pack.
[*:2e8f0q0u]Gravel is now back to the previous version (still working on it, but my last attempt sucked)
[*:2e8f0q0u]Tweaked water and lava.
[*:2e8f0q0u]Better sidegrass shading for biome compliant sidegrass.
[*:2e8f0q0u]Tweaked the contrast for sidegrass dirt, wooden planks, and cobble.
[*:2e8f0q0u]Updated birch log texture.
[*:2e8f0q0u]Most old textures are in the alts section in the terrain.png.
[*:2e8f0q0u]Fixed an issue for people using the default coloured grass/foliage version and who are using the patcher.
HELP! I could use your screenshots for the OP. If you have any choice shots of your builds or crazy landscapes or whatever, please consider posting a link so I can use them. I prefer screenshots that use the Custom Grass version, preferably with fancy graphics on, using the custom water/lava, and are unedited. Thanks!
I suppose I could so a screenshot or two, I don't have the custom grass so I'll probably just do a building shot or two, if you'd like. Though I do have wildgrass on...

@bonemouse:
After using the pack for many days now, I can say that I do have a few qualms about it. Until earlier today I was running the stock version of water & lava. Upon using MCPatcher to finally see what you had done with the two, I have to say I was sad.
The lava doesn't really look like lava to me - and the water is... kinda "ewww". lol. All water looks like it's stagnant. It could be that there is slightly too much green in it. Personally, I do like the other water and lava better. Aside from these two qualms, the only other qualm I have is the coal texture. I know it's not yours, but I still hate it. It looks like insect bug eyes to me! :smile.gif:
Anyway, everyone I know who plays Minecraft has seen this pack on my computer and installed it right away - so obviously you're doing a great job.
I look forward to what you do next!
As you requested earlier, I've taken the liberty of posting a few screenshots for you to use. :smile.gif:

Did I mention I'm on a family computer and I can't download those programs? D:
For some, very, odd reason, When I patch this with MCPatcher, It works fine - I love the water by the way. Anyways, Once I do it, I try to craft something (work bench, since I started a new world) And would you look at that? It freezes for about 10 seconds, and exits to my desktop with no error message. Could anyone give advice on what to do? I love the water too much to let it go ;_;
I already tested it before but never really used it enough time.
I'm using this pack now and my eyes got used to it. It's not so dark actually. Well it's dark, but in the right way :smile.gif: I really really enjoy it. In fact I like the colors because it's not bright and it's easy to the eyes. Everything seems natural. This little touch of darkness is very nice and make me feel that something miss... some fog around there maybe, a moving ghostly fog. The atmosphere is great.
I love the pumpkin.
UMMM... I want this. BUTTT really???? Just fix the grass and trees or whatever. People want a few pics and the download link. Not a bunch of files to work on. You need to make up for my lazyness.

It's pretty simple already. Download the "Custom Grass" version if you're okay with/capable of switching out the grasscolor.png and foliagcolor.png files. Otherwise, get the "Default Grass" version. Both work (and look) perfectly fine regardless though.
Alright, I figured out what went wrong before, but now a new problem has arisen. I changed the grasscolor.png to my liking but in game, only the surface level of grass is affected by this change. The sides of each dirt block still have the original grass color. Is there any way to fix this?
WOW. I am impressed ! This is realy a fancy looking texture pack ! All though its one thing I am Missing.. The light.. This texture is very dark. Are u going to do something about it, In my opinion It only should be a little more brighter.. But its very nice :smile.gif: Good Job!
I'm gonna go ahead and answer your question(s), Science.

I'm confused... I just downloaded it (first link) and now the grass is bionome colored.. (Os this implemented in 1.5?)
Because with 1.4 you needed to install mods to color the grass right...
Yes, as of 1.5(_01), you don't need to install texture packs using a patcher. Mojang fixed the problem, by adding a new "slot" to the terrain.png*, which is now the way sidegrass is loaded.
Please Notice: This method only works in "Fancy" graphics. If your graphics settings are set to "Fast", you will still have to patch Minecraft, in order to load sidegrass properly. TL;DR: Yes, it was implemented in 1.5.

And what does that all mean, Custom grass and so on?
The Custom Grass, makes the color of the grass darker, at least more moody. Some people prefer not having to install a few more files, and Bonemouse** has therefor decided to put up two different version.
If you install the basic one, you don't get special-colored grass (and trees), since Mojang still hasn't updated the texture pack stuff around those parts.
If you use the HD Patcher***, which is found on the front page of the "Texture Packs" subforum, you don't need to manually install things, since it updates the code, making things a whole bunch easier. TL;DR: Custom Grass changes the color of the grass.
If that's the case, take your skin file, rename it to char.png and toss it into the \mob folder in the .zip.

*Obviously, they also made some code-settings, but that's not the point here.
