I guess I'm curious about people's experience there. (Trying to gauge how much effort to apply to the maintenance of the pack on that site.)

I agree with Conker. In addition, Planet Minecraft is down quite a bit. Would it be possible to just put a page there that refers everyone here?

Can you post screenshots? The animations are definitely noticeable on my system. Also...details about whether you use MC Patcher or Optifine and what settings will help.

I'm a site moderator at Planet Minecraft (http://planetminecraft.com/member/paril), and actually I came here to make sure that that was you that signed up - we're glad you did!

You can indeed just link to the post, although you'd have to provide pictures and a download. There has been some site issues lately, but the administrator hopes to have a server upgrade soon to take care of them.

Maintenance should be relatively easy - a lot of artists maintain their packs there. If you need any help/information pertaining to PMC, don't hesitate to PM me or any of the other site moderators there.

Re "a lot of trolls and simple packs": If you find any of the sort, report them. It's impossible for us to go through every single submission, and we rely on users' help to find any stolen or unoriginal content.
