I have never officially defined the lore. With all the stuff that gets added to the game, it would need constant revisions. I have a fairly clear idea of Stephen's (the player's) story and that's covered pretty accurately in the posts submitted by people like Conker_27 throughout this thread.
I've been thinking about formalizing the natural history of the world but haven't had the motivation to put it down on paper.

It is. Really cool. When people post stories, art, or screenshots, it makes all the times I start getting burnt out and frustrated worth it.

I've used this pack for quite a while now, and though I've grown used to it, I've never been able to get the custom water or lava to work. I've tried it with or without the patcher, and still, nothing. I use a Mac, but I didn't think that'd be a problem. Any thoughts?

There's very little I can do about the swamp color while also maintaining the theme and style of the pack. Check out this thread. Deleting the grassgradient.png and foliagegradient.png, as ScottKillen mentioned, will fix it but will also have a large effect on the pack's style.

I, unfortunately, don't have any experience with Macs, so I can't be much help. Have you managed to get other packs' custom water/lava to work? You could also try OptiFineas an alternative to the patcher.
Wow! this is the only texture pack that has a lore : D Its pretty awesome how a texture pack can inspire all this people to create his own adventure. Stephen Chesterfield Is more than tired with all this stories. thanks BoneMouse, you not only created a texture pack you created a new way of living Minecraft...
BTW this is the first texture pack that i can enjoy with fog
Anways, to answer your question Bone, when I used to play with Jolicaft it would show the custom water and lava, but upon installing it again, it does not. Could it be the 1.0 update?
EDIT: So, I found out that it's because of the patcher. By default, it assumes that any installed texture packs have animated custom water and lava. So, if you install a pack without, it just uses the default. So, all I had to do was change the settings to custom, not animated water and lava. Excuse my blatant stupidity! :biggrin.gif:

You should should fix the swamps so they don't look so "purple-ish" though :/

Curse PremiumIf you don't like the purple, you can alter grasscolor.png in the packs misc directory, or delete it completely.
