What's strange is how this works so well for almost any given situation. Abandoned castles feel abandoned. It can fit Victorian era, steampunk, modern, or (to a lesser extent) futuristic era. I play on a fallout server and the towns feel happy and safe, but as soon as your in the desert it feels somber, dark, and dangerous. It's the perfect texture pack for everything.
So, I'm sort of back to work on the pack. ETA for 1.9 is the 11th with the official release but I may get done sooner. And I've been posting some of the new textures on the customizer site, for those interested in checking it out.
In other news, I put out the idea of a mod that will address the purple swamp issue to some other pack creators and modder, who had a similar idea, decided to go ahead and start working on it. It's basically a mod that gives pack creators that ability to define the many, many hard-coded colors that are in the game (for example, red stone could become blue stone.) If it all works out, Isabella could see numerous visual enhancements that I've been eager to implement but never had the means. Bright blue sky, for example, would become a lot more dreary. Of course, I can't make any guarantees if or when this mod will be done but I'm hopeful.
In the meantime, I've come up with grass and foliage gradients that work... Sort of. The swamps themselves are more brown then purple now except at the transitions between biomes. At those points there may be spots where the grass is either bright green or purple.
Hrmm, what else?
I'm probably going to ditch the shine that is applied to enchanted items entirely. I'm also probably going to ditch the water droplets that fall from a block when water/lava is directly above it. (Stupid hard-coded colors.)
First, download Firefox (as that's the only Browser I'm confident with). Second, download the texture-pack. Third, press "CTRL+J" on your keyboard (presumeably CMD+J on a Mac). Fourth, Right-click on the Texture Pack Zip file (top of the list). Fifth, Choose "Go to File Placement" (or something like that). It should be the second-to-top option. Sixth, go to the "Run" found in the Start menu on Windows (if you're on a Mac, poor you). Seventh, type in "%appdata%/.minecraft/texturepacks", and press enter. Eigth, move THE ENTIRE .ZIP FILE (do NOT extract it!) into the folder that just opened. Ninth, Open up Minecraft. Tenth, Go to "Mods and Texturepacks", and choose the Isabella Texture Pack.
@Montpelier
I'm trying to make a point of staying out of the mod process but I will forward that info onto the person making it. The major selling point of this mod is that the colors will be taken from a bitmap that will be included in texture packs.
@ExplosiveianG
Hope you got it working.
@mrisump
Thanks for the assist!
@Solidfire
The current version is 1.9PR4v2. Until 1.9 releases officially, I'd prefer to keep the PR on there in case, for example, the swamp biomes color issue gets fixed. (Have I mentioned how much I loathe the swamp biome color?).
If anyone has interesting screenshots using Isabella that they don't mind sharing, I could use some for making custom art for the pack. Thanks in advance.
As far as I can tell, 1.9PR4 will work with pre-release 5.
I've made some slight modifications to the rune font and the rune particles. They're on the customizer.
Also added new iron, gold, and diamond block textures to the customizer. These are courtesy of Solidfire and I think people who use the blocks as a building material will really appreciate them. I am considering using, at least, the iron block in the default pack.
Still looking for screenshots, btw.
And I wanted to ask what people thought of the Tale of Kingdoms mod? It's now on the customizer so I thought I might work on it for a change of pace.
As a reward, I made you a blender render.
If you want, you can use this picture.
Yu Leik?
Thanks! I used this to make a painting (I hope that's alright) for the pack. I cropped out everything but the creeper and added a background and, I must say, it looks fantastic. If you have any others, I could absolutely use them.
I wanted to drop a compliment. I have tried many many texture packs at resolutions up to 128x and I keep coming back to Isabella. Isabella is my pack of choice. So much so that I go through and Isabella-ize mods that I install...
boy I will kick your butt.

Hope it helped :smile.gif:
I had a very productive weekend and stayed up late to finish the latest version.
Many changes along with textures for the new items and blocks. Highlights include:
*Due to the stupidity of the way the swamp biome is colored in 1.9PR, there will be occasional purple and bright green grass.

Curse PremiumI wanted to drop a compliment. I have tried many many texture packs at resolutions up to 128x and I keep coming back to Isabella. Isabella is my pack of choice. So much so that I go through and Isabella-ize mods that I install...
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
What mods have you Isabella-ized?
I haven't been able to play with mods much since I've been trying to mostly play with the pre-releases to keep up with the texture changes.
