I'm not sure how much attention I want to put on alternate icons when they are only there to support the alternate textures. If I do do them, they'll be much later.
I've noticed that, in general, the icons are far too light in game. I'm eager to finish them so I can adjust the colours. But I'm thinking I might have to adjust the GUI a bit for it all to work right.
This texturepack looks great!
Bonemouse, would i be able to use a couple textures for my AdventureCraft Map?
Specifically, the armor textures and some of the zombie pigmen textures?
I really, REALLY love this texture pack. The textures are very feathery, using natural colors; none too dark, none too bright. It's incredible.
I envy your skill!
You should make some tutorials if you haven't already. o:

Maybe you should change the flint, not very recognizable, and very small.
The flint and steel item is too... i don't know how to say that in english... not enough contrasted.
But it's only my opinion :smile.gif:
Are you going to change all the Quandary parts soon ? :biggrin.gif:
Thanks !!
EDIT:
I'm glad you support Better Than Wolves mod but there is a minor issue.
All the textures you made are separated. But the mod ones are not. It has organized files with all block textures in one file, all items in one file etc.
@Montpelier
I agree. It would certainly make my job easier to have the icons be 32x. If there was proper support for HD texture packs, I might have done so.
Questions regarding the cake, remind me, was it the cake you have issues with or the icon?
@jdwarfer
"Not enough contrast" and yes, I agree. A revision is incoming.
I'm phasing out all the content that I didn't make. The mobs, for example, are the ones I made for ExtraNoise for Quandary, so they'll probably stay. But the items are going to go. I should point out that I'm not doing this because I don't like Quandary's textures. In fact, as I work on the items, I'm realizing more and more that they are superior in most ways. I just want to have a 100% original pack.
I'm aware of the BTW issue and I'm waiting for the customizer to update to allow support of the new format. I've already done the changes on my end. I'll post a imgur link in the near future.
Why you made this texture pack so gray, dusty and depressing? I just dont get it, i like it but when i install it, i feel very depressed. Minecraft have creepers, isn't that enought?
That's the theme of the pack, Grigori. Just like there's RPG packs, Medieval packs, Realistic packs, and such.
Anyway Bonemouse: I wouldn't say his are superior. They're simply different. Also, if you ever think yours isn't good enough, remember that I'll always think they're amazing, even if that's in their own peculiar little way.
Keep up the good work :smile.gif:
Time for me to go eat dinner now..

Thanks mrisump! (I also appreciate your dedication to providing great feedback and honest critiques.)
Montpelier, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate a decent explanation of why a texture doesn't sit right with someone. So thanks! I'll take another swing at it a some point.
So, I've done the arrow icon and revised the flint and flint and steel. That's it for me today. Super busy with non-mc stuff.
@Grigori
I'd describe creepers as more of a constant background annoyance than something that causes depression. Also I don't mean to generalise but Russia is currently the definitive home of extremely depressing PC games, thanks to these guys: http://www.ice-pick.com/
One company cand defenite the whole country and as you know, we have problems with good games in Russia. There is so few good Russian games, that i don't even remember them. Ukraine is making better progress in game development.
P.S. The Void, from Ice-Pick Lodge, is masterpiece.
I'm sorry to bother... maybe... but to me, iron is too dark.
And you support Better Than Wolves, that add Steel, which is already dark grey. I don't know, just saying... :biggrin.gif:

Noted. Thanks.
I'd like some opinions.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the new, yet unspecific changes we're going to see with 1.8. To make life easier, I want to nail down a base and worry about customizer options later. So...
We've established that...
1. Logs are going to be non-shaded.
2. Grass is going to be dark variant.
What's I'd like to know is...
1. Long grass?
2. Light foliage?
3. Light sand?
4. Natural sandstone?
5. Red Netherrak? (I concede. I prefer the beige but the download count on the customizer site is overwhelmingly in skewed to the red.)
6. Any other customizer options you think should be the default?
The skin I 'made' before, the green shirted one, i'm fine with you doing whatever you want with it Bonemouse. The airship looks great as well, thanks a lot for doing that.
So I can use both? Did you use Quandary as the pre-green shirted one's base?
About the airship... I'm glad I did. It's a super fun mod! Here's a pic I took as I was flying around my world. I probably would have never seen this scene otherwise (Great Wall Mod generated wall going through a cave/tunnel/land bridge.)

That's nice! Can you add Yogbox support maybe? :3
Also, here's my opinion
1. Long grass? No.
2. Light foliage? No thank you.
3. Light sand? No please.
4. Natural sandstone? No, sandstone is meant to be a building material.
5. Red Netherrak? (I concede. I prefer the beige but the download count on the customizer site is overwhelmingly in skewed to the red.) Red netherrack, please, the biege netherrack too odly resembles sandstone and cobblestone. Please change it to red.
We've established that...
1. Logs are going to be non-shaded. (I disagree)
2. Grass is going to be dark variant. (I agree)

I apologize for the sloppy feedback, here. It's late, and I should probably get some sleep. But, I don't think I can actually do the feedback much more thorough than this.
About the Customizer Defaultazions (now also a new word), I can't really say much, since I am unable to test the things out in-game.

I prefer the short grass when I'm using BetterGrass and long grass when I'm not.
The actual numbers are 2,382 for long and 482 for short. Keeping in mind that the long is the default, so it will get more downloads for that reason. (It has also been on the site longer then the short grass.)
1. Long grass? Whatever
2. Light foliage? Yes
3. Light sand? Yes
4. Natural sandstone? I prefer smooth sandstone
5. Red Netherrak? (I concede. I prefer the beige but the download count on the customizer site is overwhelmingly in skewed to the red.) Definetely RED. I prefer to keep the original colors, as for clay
6. Any other customizer options you think should be the default? Blue clay
Blue Obsidian
Warm gravel

Agree, but it might be more harder to understand for usual player then The Void.
