Beautiful pack, makes me feel like I'm in the story of an old book. Also makes me feel like heading out to sea. This is possibly one of my favorite packs now.

Mythology, by Edith Hamilton
Added 1.6 tiles and items (grass, hatches, maps, etc)
Added a whole bunch of alternative textures.
Made another attempt at non-animated lava.
Added animated water.
Changed the naming convention. Next update, if it's before the next patch will be 'Isabella 1.6 v2'
Added unofficial support for some mods, located in the "_MODS" folder in the .zip file.
Discontinued "Default Grass" option since Minecraft now correctly displays custom foliage and grass gradients.
Note: For advanced users, no installation instructions provided.
Note: Please test mods out first before installing my textures. If the mod doesn't work, contact the mod creator. If it stops working after you installed my textures, contact me.
Textures for Better Glass.
Textures for Mo' Creatures (birds with optional sounds, horses, bears, lions, wolves, foxes, bunnies, ducks.)
Thanks for updating this so quickly. I pretty much exclusively use this texturepack so when the maps and trapdoors came out i was worried i'de have to use standard, but you had the now obj textures updated in less than a day. Thanks again, Great pack.
@lloydbeatz
Thanks and you're welcome! I do enjoy the rush of trying to get the pack out in a timely manner after an update.
I've updated the OP with the screenshots that LordGideon provided way back. Thanks, LordGideon!
Also, I've been getting some PMs from people who want to use my textures in their packs. I'm quite alright with that! Just take a peek at the guidelines in the OP.
ETA: In other words, you don't have to PM and wait for a reply (I can be very slow in responding.)
"Isabella, my dearest...I will return as soon as I can," were your parting words as you left on the boat. World War 2 was only just beginning, and you were an Italian soldier, off to war. Your ship set sail on a gloomy, rainy day. Isabella cried at the docks, as you left, one small brown-headed child clung to her left hip, staring at the fading silhouette of the naval cargo ship with blank eyes. She stayed there with that child for an hour or two after your ship was lost from sight.
The storm persisted, and seemed to follow the S.S. Leopard as you sailed off into foreign seas. All of the men aboard had a family. You only knew some of them personally, and even then they weren't friends, merely acquintances. One man, by the name of Antonio who spoke almost constantly was saying something in Italian while you stared out at the choppy waves. Suddenly, the sky was illuminated in a bright, shocking blue light. Less than ten seconds later, you heard the crack of thunder. The storm was much too close.
Just ten minutes after Antonio went below-deck to settle in for the night, lightning struck the mast. A horrendous cracking sound could be heard from miles around as the thick pole of wood broke from the impact of the electrical bolt. The remains of it set fire. You sat in awe, staring at the fire, hoping for the rain to put it out. Most of the crew was abovedeck now. Antonio was the first to die. You watched him as he ran into the flames, a wooden bucket of water in his hand, and attempted to douse them. The bucket caught fire in his attempt, and the raging inferno quickly spread to his hands, and his clothes...He burned to death, right there. While that was happening, orders had been given to grab more buckets. You abandoned ship, instead, thinking of your wife and child.
A few hours later, you wake discovering that you had clung to a thick plank of singed wood that had floated away from the wreckage of the doomed ship. You find yourself on a very small, desolate island with little to no plants or animals. Your pack is still on your back, with a bottle of wine stashed in it. You quickly empty the little that's left in the bottle into one of the small metal flasks you keep in your now-damp pack, and find a crude piece of parchment from the same bag. You dig around and find an inkwell, but do not find a pen. You stumble away to find something pen-shaped to write with. Soon you return to your small spot on the island with nothing, and notice the plank of wood again. Using your knife, you carve off a small strip and use it to write a letter back to your wife. After completing the letter, you let it float out to sea in the empty wine bottle, crying now. You begin to look for firewood, for it is getting dark.
You are REALLY GOOD at building, and you built in a way that maximized the effect of your texture pack, making it look UH-MAZING! You should post your maps. The only suggestions I have for the pack are 1. make it a tad bit brighter (Not much, don't ruin the effect!) and 2. make the water look less individualized, or less "blocky". Awesome work, I also happen to like all the packs you took textures from! Keep up the good work, looking forward to next update :biggrin.gif:
This is going to sound so nooby but how do i install this im new when it comes to texture packs and need some help, please dont flame as everyone did know how to add them at one point
Despite your wish for us not to flame at you, I will do so anyway, since the answer to your question has been answered one page before this one.
I will, since I'm a nice guy, tell you how to, though.
I'm gonna go ahead and answer this for you, with a couple of different ways to do it:
Go to the "Start" menu
Write "%appdata%" in the search bar, then press enter
Double-click on the ".minecraft" folder
Double-click on the "texturepacks" folder
Drag the "Isabella [CG] 27-04-11.zip" file into there
(NOT the contents of the .zip, the entire .zip)
Load Minecraft
Go to "Mods and Texture Packs"
Double-click "Isabella [CG] 27-04-11.zip" (or whatever the name might be)
(The rest should be obvious)
I LOVE this texture pack. I can't stand the major texture change in some others such as Painterly Pack or DokuCraft. I started using this pack as and alternative to the Quandary Pack when 1.6 came out. But when Quandary was updated I kept using Isabella. I don't think I will EVER find a texture pack better than this one.

Thanks for the narrative! I find it interesting that you chose WWII as the time period. I had always pictured mid-19th century. Either way, I love it.

Thanks!

Which version of the water are we talking about? Animated or non-animated?
Thanks!

Thanks! As for making the pack brighter, I'm going to wait and see what changes are in 1.7 with regards to the new lighting system. I'd prefer to solve the darkness issue in a roundabout way. Otherwise the textures start to get washed out.

Yah... So I was confused about this change and since the old version seems to work I decided to not worry about it. Thanks for fixing it and I hope you don't mind if I throw these textures into the next version.
I think I may make my first map with this teturepack being required, I might change some of painting textures around.
I will edit this post when I make it

Grey water? Risky. Works perfectly.
Keep up the great work, this is amazing. :biggrin.gif:
Also, I support making the TP a tad brighter (without ruinging the effect). And I look forward to future updates!
Thanks much!

I suggest increasing the saturation on the texture pack. That would make it better
The whole thing overall creates an atmosphere of rainy murkiness, which is actually pretty cool.
