My goal with this texture pack was to reduce the noise (hence "Quiet"Craft) that the original textures had while keeping the feel of Minecraft the same. I am by no means a professional at this, so before I do any further work I would like some constructive criticism as to what would make my texture pack more aesthetically pleasing. So without further ado, screenshots!
If anyone else's textures made it into the pack without me remembering, which is a possibility, notify me and I will edit them out in the next release, if there is call for an update of course.
Of course, I almost forgot the download, so if anyone feels inclined to download my beginners attempt at texturing they can.
It screwed the quality because the thing in the top left said smooth (it needs to be pixelated) and yes that doesn't make much sense but it's kinda hard to explain...
As for the pack, it looks very nice, good work!
Ah, thank you, I will update the OP with a less ignorance-influenced terrain.png. And I love your work as well, especially the way you did your grass. It influenced mine a bit as it tiles so well in that style.
I really like the lighter feel that you went with, especially with the wooden objects like the crafting bench. But, there are a couple things that you could improve:
The coal doesn't really look that well in those positions. The other ore are just fine. (I absolutely LOVE that gold ore that you got there!) You could perhaps place the pieces of coal in different spots so that it tiles better.
Also, the obsidian needs to be darker and shinier. Obsidian is supposed to be one of the deepest, darkest, blackest, sharpest things and yet it looks like rough carpet in this pack. A very nice looking rough carpet, might I add, but rough carpet is not obsidian.) I want to see the pointed edges, the glassy daggers, and the spiky spires! Get the message across that you are stabbing them with this obsidian just by letting them look at it! Okay, maybe not that sharp, but you get the idea.
The bedrock is positively jarring. It is useful for those who still play on pre-beta maps with occasional holes in the bottom, but other than that, there is no reason for bedrock to look like this. You have to again remember what bedrock is supposed to be: an unbreakable material found in only the deepest pits, compacted to this form by the very terrain that it supports upon its back. Because you can not collect it, you can make it look like anything you want, as long as it makes sense considering the context. Personally, I think bedrock is one of the more difficult types of block to pull off successfully.
The reeds should be an easy fix. just up the contrast a bit and it should look fine.
Your creeper looks like it was stripped of almost everything. Give it some appropriate shading to make it look better. Also, your dispenser will look better if you use an accurate creeper face on it instead of the scaled-up rendering that you made yourself. The creeper's face is so simple that it is iconic (how else do you think that it got onto the title?). All I am saying here is if you're going to give them a creeper, give them one that they will want to hug AND punch.
I'm sorry if all of my suggestions on how to improve your pack make it seem like you are doing something wrong. You are doing a fantastic job with a large amount of your textures. Here is a list of the ones that I really like:
Wooden planks
half-step
TNT
Cobblestone
Logs
diamond/iron/gold blocks
gold ore
bookshelf
workbench
sponge
wool
spawners
cacti
doors
wheat
pumpkins
beds
mossy cobblestone
netherack
and of course, the custom breaking animation.
You see? the great textures vastly outnumber the ones that need improvement. Just keep on truckin' and you'll get there!

WOAH, WAIT. Our eyes take pictures? Please tell me I can recover these pictures from another person.
You have to stick a thumb drive up their nose, drag and drop the pictures onto it, and then load them through your ear.
