Apologies, but the sniper skin of my avatar is a merged skin using 2-3 I found around the net. I wouldn't feel right sharing it because I didn't make it from scratch, I just took the best parts from other skins and fused them together to create a personal skin for myself and a few friends. I can however link you to a wonderful skin artist on PMC.
I think you should change the breaking animation to the health symble the + on the bottom left...

I have plans to change it to the damage texture from TF2, you know, the holes that are left behind when you shoot or strike a wall or other environmental object in the game.

My first choice is spy because they're silent, sneak up on you, and hiss before killing you. I'm trying to be clever and not make obvious decisions.
When I'm able to overhaul this pack and catch up to the current version I'll possibly include alternative mob skins, meaning a demo creeper.
i would texture the skeleton as a hunstman sniper the zombie as scouts. for the picks they should be equalizers or escape plans. i agree wth u on the creepers being spies. all hostile mobs should be BLU instead of RED since theyre the enemies and red is defending. for the helmets u should make them hats depending on their rarity. the leather can be the ghastly gibus cause its basically worthless. u cant get chainmail in vanilla so it could be the spiral salet since u can get tht hat if u play spiral knights on steam. the iron could be i dont really know. but the diamond now could be the top notch since its exclusive to notch himself. or they could just be like the normal hats the sniper being leather. chainmail to demoman etc.

Everything you just stated are things already planned out or done. Potions are Jarate, Milk is Mad Milk. All the tools are weapons. Almost all the mobs are chosen; they will come in both RED and BLU due to the two versions of the pack.
The armors are all going to be class themed.
Leather = Sniper. Iron = Soldier. Gold = Engineer. Diamond = Heavy. And as a bonus Chainmail = Medic.
It would have taken less time if I was actually paid for this. You know, actually, I should set up some kind of donation option. Money in exchange for work is the best motivation.
I got a better idea like the Creepers should become caber demos and endermen should become spy skeletons should become snipers zombies should be soldier just in my opinion (like a zombie sniper or something same with all classes that will be mobs)

By default the plans for the aggressive mobs are as follows:
Creeper - Spy
Zombie - Soldier
Skeleton - Sniper
Spider - Pyro
Zombie pigmen - Engineers
Slimes - Hats/Crates
Ghast - Mononucleous or however it's spelled.
Wither Skeletons - Brutal Snipers
Enderman - possibly Spy, most likely going to default as slenderman or ghost civilians.
Dragon - Robot
Wither - The horseless headless horse man
Thanks to MCpatcher I'll be able to implement random mobs. Meaning anyone that chooses that when using the patcher will be able to see more than one class skin for each of the mobs.
yeah but make them the opposite color like in the red texture pack they should be blu and in the blu one they should be red

You know, that's not a bad idea. After I get all the terrain and item textures finished I think I might make some robot mob skins.
