just checked out you concept art and...its awesome your really talented. but maybe have a Saxton Squid?
I think someone had suggested that to me a long while ago when I first started plotting out the mob skins. I don't know if I'd want to make saxton into a mob. That and I don't think the squid are manly enough to hold his image. Haha.
Also, in the concept art it isn't shown, but friendly mobs will be the same color of the pack. For instance if you use REDcraft animals will be RED while the enemies will be BLU.
It might be a bit early for me to ask this, but knowing that pistons will be coming out in 1.7. I'd like to ask if anyone has any ideas on what I could possibly texture the pistons as to make them look like they belong into the whole TF2 theme.
I was considering making them look like lifts that you can sometimes spot on community maps, but I'm still unsure. There are so many possibilities and I have a few ideas, but I'd like some suggestions first.
Hmm, I'm not too sure how I would make a MANN Co. version. I'll think about it though and see if I come up with any ideas. I was liking the Engie version better because the stripe would loop around, but looking at the second version again the tech would probably tile better. Maybe I could merge the two, I don't know.
This is making me indecisive. I might have to hop on to G-mod and take some intel room pictures for refrence and maybe bug a few of my my TF2 pals for advice.
Should anyone else on the forum read this and have any ideas, please do share.
First I want to say... I love this texture pack so much, thanks for updating it.
I think the Engie pistons would look a bit better than the Spytech ones, because the button/light things would look weird on all sides. The sticky piston idea looks pretty good.
However, the note blocks are bugging me a bit with that stripe. The jukeboxes look nice with it, but the note blocks just seem awkward. Will this be revised?

so Im not sure if it's this mod, or if Im just doing something wrong, but I tired 3 times to get this one working, and it dose...yet some textures are clearly off. Like the bricks which are split into 4 textures: the portal purple (that moves), the smoke from killing things, burning fire (that moves)and the last forth is the actual brick it's suppose to be.
Also noticed the pumpkins have a little bit of running water on the top of the pumpkin, and one other item had mobsters from "MoreCreeps" along with the stick. (when I first installed it, when I had all my mods on.)Yet oddly enough the actual water that IS suppose to be moving (waterfalls, fountains, etc) is not moving at all (still-water, yet still plays the sound of it moving).
The only other thing I noticed that seemed off was the avatar for the mod in the "Mods and Texture pack" section of the game that lists the available texture packs. They are basically grayed out pictures of the default avatar, and are titled "BLUcraft 1-6.zip" "REDcraft 1-6.zip" Are they suppose to appear this way? Usually they are customized to the feel of the texture pack, in the other few textures Ive tried out. Along with that, when I select a button to press, such as "Options" in the menus, they turn red for both red and blu's texture pack. I would think Blu's texture pack would make them Blue, instead of red, but am not positive since there are no menu pics to show otherwise.
However, the biggest issues that Im having is when I try to open chests, it kicks me out of the game, saying "Save Chunks" and then gave me this big error report:
" Minecraft has crashed!

At the time of the error report, I had no other mods installed besides this texture pack. (a 4th installation of the game + texture mod)
When I 1st installed them, I unzipped the 2 packs, and placed them directly into the texture folder. It worked, but I noticed it had the above mentioned glitches.
So then I deleted everything (removing the mods I had) and started from scratch, no mods installed at all. I even loaded them through the suggested mcpatcher, following the steps provided. Received the same results, nothing different, for both red and blu.
So then I removed the texture packs, and reinstalled all the mods I had thinking it needed the gui mod, and maybe the modloader even though it says nothing about needed them to work correctly, and as I suspected, no changes in the results. The texture pack still had the same glitches.
help getting this working correctly? Would appreciate it, as I was excited finding it, being an old TF2 vet! :happy.gif:

Thank you for your input.
The juke box was designed by the original artist of this pack and the note blocks had not yet been released so the side texture wasn't designed with that block in mind. It bugs me as well and I've been trying to think of a way to alter the side and make it look nicer for the note blocks. So yes, this will be revised eventually.
It sounds like, to me, that you didn't use the HD texture patcher. This texturepack is 32x32 and requires use of the patcher to keep the visual glitches you described from happening.
As for the pack's avatar image, yes, it is just a grayed out version of the defult pack's image. I will be changing that some point in the future when I get the time to take some nice promotional screenshots for the pack.

thanks, ya it appeared I had an older version of the patcher.
Im not sure what happened with the whole chest thing though, as that never happened until I tried to use the texture pack and was still having issues with it even with a fresh copy. Something must have happened to the save file in particular. Perhaps when I used the old patcher...not sure.
The textures appear to be fine now, and I can safely open the chests again.
Ok, so curious if when it's working correctly if there's no longer the effect of water and lava flowing, when it's level, as it would in the default texture? (like ripples across the surface)As it is it appears to just sit there until you break the edge of the dirt.
If so, are there any plans to make it more like default, in that it appears to be moving?
I think that would add more to the lava in particular, as ATM it looks like melted cheese, lol! :happy.gif:

At the time water and lava do not have animations to them. I'm not sure if the texture pack had them originally and I just lost the animation files or if they never had them to begin with.
I don't how to animate the lava or water myself at this time so they may have to stay that way until I get the chance to play around with editing an animation file for them. Should I not find the time, I may have to consult someone that has more experiance with making water, lava, and portal animations.
Your remark reminding me that I will also be altering the chest textures. The MANN Co. label I slapped on them is starting to look a bit tacky and I think I might have something better to replace it with.
You'd be surprised at how much the two communities are connected, especially after Valve talked about Minecraft in that blog post about a year ago. Keep up the good work, mate, I'm really looking forward to the medic-themed armor.

Oh dear Lord, The thought alone terrifies me. I'll think about it.

I thought the sticky version, instead of being sticky, could look more like some type of magnet.

is amazing.
I heard 1.7 is coming out soon though so I'm holding off on updating the pack until then.
EDIT: Except I don't recall any cacti.
It's going to take a few more days.
Sorry for the inconvenience. 4th of July and all and I've been awful busy.
I'm going to try to have it updated by or before next weekend.
