Nice Texture Pack; I do believe I have found my ideal pack from now on.
Keep it up!

Thanks! We love using it on our server, but I wasn't sure MF would take to it. In my experience comp pack's, even when edited like mine, come under alot of criticism.
So glad you like it, feel free to propose absolutely anything I can change! Still very WIP!

Not a problem, I can see why.
Honestly there really isn't much I see wrong as of right now; if I was to mention anything which isn't much...would be dirt, stone, and gravel. Seems as if gravel doesn't match the theme of everything else, maybe with the dirt adding some darker highlights in areas won't make it look so flat; same goes for clean stone.
I like how the grass hangs off the side of the dirt, and the icon choice is matching. Water is good, all the wood items are fitting. I'm really enjoying the torches, everyone seems to go for that flame look... the list is endless to be honest.

Yeah I hear you about the dirt. I've been trying to edit Glimmar's but my efforts to add some depth often end fruitlessly and I go pack to my original edit.
I might try an overlay of the darker lines in the Johnsmith dirt, or find a pattern online.
The gravel is actually heavily edited bedrock from another pack. It needs to fit in better though, can't argue there.
The smooth stone might need some texturing, but it took a lot of tweaking to get something smooth enough for builds, but rough enough to look natural, especially in caves.
I would also totally agree about being tired of the flaming torches, I got fed up with all the little flames everywhere when I had an area well lit.
I especially LOVE the ores! If this were a 64x64 pack, I'd be all over it. As it is, I think I might be modifying the 32x pack I sometimes play with. Including the ore overlays in your terrain.png was a very nice thing to do - it allows those of us who play with custom mixes to utilize what we like best! Thanks!

They are old doku ores, ripping out the overlays was a pain in the you-know-what. But I wanted them on my stone, not his.
Something like that should only EVER be done once, glad I could save you the trouble!

Stick with it and you'll get it eventually.
I see what you mean with the stone, need to find a break even point for both decoration and mountain/caves.
Exactly, the torches make everything seem more finished and modern; not as if your a nomad that has mystical powers to keep a stick burning endlessly some how.
One more thing to mention; with everything being so smooth, the cobblestone doesn't click together, its to...chunky? lol

The cobble fits pretty well i thought, especially against the stone.
Maybe it's just me looking at it too long and taking it as normal.
I wonder if you could screencap where it seems to clash? Or at least mention against what.
That may be so, tend to get accustomed for things after a while.
I'll post a screenshot soon when I can; however it seems to clash against wood.
-Darkonus
May have to open up in a new tab to see larger. Heres one with wood and cobble together, I suppose it don't look bad; but maybe I'm just use to it now :tongue.gif:
As I said before about wood being good, and going with other blocks, excuse the second one being dark...night time creeped up quickly.

You want 1.0!
thats an old version, and the new one is changed alot!
Haha, when I downloaded you had yet to add 1.0.
I liked the old grass and glowrock. lol

As for the grass, I'm still struggling with how to do it, but that version had some nice grass, i might return to it in a future version.
You welcome to mix and match of course!
I hope you find the other parts of the pack improved.
Ah, I've yet to check it out in the Nether seeing as I mostly play SMP.
Hmm, I think it'd be a better with the old grass but thats just my opinion; or make a new grass even.
I do I do, I see why you were questioning me calling out your new cobblestone. lol

Just one more Question
What version did you like the grass from? 0.2?
Not a problem bud.
The grass from V0.2 was the grass.

As much as I like it, it really can't be released.
