The Creator gave me a formidable intellect and excellent verbal skills, if I can use them to make the world a better place I'm glad to. If that means tearing a new hole for some idiot, well, that's just icing on the cake.

I was actually thinking about this because me and my bro recreated West Freeport a few months ago. Actually almost had North Freeport done as well, but somehow it got deleted and that pretty much ended the project. If you google something like "minecraft west freeport" theres a couple places where the video of it is posted. *went ahead and found one, in case any EQ fans want to see it :smile.gif: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showt ... hp?t=20648

I liked the original ores better (though they look like jellybeans).
I just discovered the Doku-style ores that I saw for the first time in the "HHpack aka EditCraft" and honestly, I'd love higher resolution versions of something like that.
It's a tricky process, to be sure - you want something that's identifiable even from some distance, without taking up too much of the tile. And I'll admit I'm picky - even with the really nice 64x diamond ore tile I'm using in my game, I still copied and pasted a couple more of them onto it.
Anyhow, I'm going to DL this and have a look. I'll certainly be following your progress.

I very much like your coal ore specifically. I like the weird little fur or whatever it has on it. it makes it look like its actually partway in the stone. its the coolest i've seen on anyones ore. the others could use a little work, but keep the coal :smile.gif:
now THIS is what minecraft needs! a winter version! i'd love to use it, but I only use 16x, hate using that giant MCPatcher. oh i've used it before, but I still like the option of going back to the original minecraft some times...
I'm really liking it, except for the water. I know it's ice themed, but the water looks like Ice. Perhaps you could add an animation for idle water springs, similar to misa's. It looks like a solid block right now. Keep up the good work.

A friend of mine made a house out of TNT. It was looking really good before he tried to add a pressure pad to automatically open the door -.-"

use the new patcher..you can switch when you want to from in game menu
Was thinking about maybe trying to make ores looks like they are sticking out of the icey stone, like you could see more of the ore through the stone, but it would be foggy/unclear. Here is an example:
This isn't how the finished product would look, but you get the idea. Any opinions?
This texture pack looks amazing! after using it for a while i noticed a few things that could be fixed.
sandstone looks good but doesn't work when it is underneath sand and you find it. i find it annoying a bit.
cobblestone looks good but is not connected to the other cobble block next to it. so inbetween the 2 blocks is a bit of light on one side and dark on the other.
sand is hard to notice when put with smoothstone. could you make them stand out better?
for the mob skins. make the creeper look cold. like a snow creeper kind of.
zombie has frozen rags and frozen blood. i think that will look cool.
I can't wait till its finished completely! :biggrin.gif:
