This is a work-in-progress by me. It's worth noting that not every texture literally translates into something specifically Trek related. For example, grass is grass. I have tried to make changes that are sensible to all of the textures, though some are currently working better than others. It is also important to note that I did not start with a fresh slate, and that any textures I have yet to modify are actually Vattic's Faithful Pack, found here:
At the bottom of the post is a link to download the most recent version of my pack, if you're wanting to give it a look. Below are some screens taken of the work so far. I've included a couple shots of the terrain and items files, since they give a better idea of the changes that have been made so far. Comments, criticism, and suggestions are all more than welcome.
Some of the textures on here are inspired by the wonderful art from Star Trek Online. And yes, the furnace is now a Replicator :biggrin.gif:
The Environmental Suits are from First Contact. Both the clock and compass have been changed to PADDs.
Zombie, modified to look like the Borg. Appropriate I think... Currently set to a low-res texture, but that will be fixed soon.
Like I said, this is just a work-in-progress. Right now I'm slightly stalled because I don't know what I should be turning the mobs into. Zombies as the Borg is obvious, but the rest are not as easy. Any ideas on this front are much appreciated.
As promised, here is the link to my current version. It should be 1.4 compatible, considering that's what I'm currently using it with.
I would suggest the spiders be reskined as Hook Spiders. You could make the Skeletons be really any generically accepted as 'evil' race, and modify bows and arrows to look like phasers and energy bolts. Videan's maybe. Creepers are really anyone's guess... Maybe you could reskin them as derranged mutant mirror universe redshirts (since even if they kill you they have to die). that's a stretch, you might be better of leaving them as creepers and just going with the approach that they are strange and not yet understood forms of life that can blow themselves up.
Zombie pigmen should be reskinned as generic crewmen as if they were Demon World copys, ala the Voyager Episode "Demon" (or at least I think that was the episode name... crew was forced to land on a demon class world in a desperate attempt to find new energy supplies...turned out there was a silver liquid that on this world that duplicates living matter exactly, only, modified to survive on the demon planet...)
Seeing as how in said eposide the duplicates ended up being peacfull, wanting only to survive, I think this would mesh well with the naturally neutral zombie pigmen AI of the nether.
Don't ask for my suggestion on the Ghast, no clue. A random protoplasmic based lifeform?
Cows and Sheep should be left to look kinda like cows and sheep, but perhaps slightly modified not unlike the Bajoran 'Kenni' (again, not sure on the spelling, can't find a good reference) Which was basically a Terran cow with slight different features.
On a side note, this looks awesome, and makes the startrek nerd in me very happy. Keep up the good work!
You've given me some very good suggestions, especially about the pigmen and the spiders. I'm hesitant to change the bow and arrow into anything too different, since the text for each item doesn't change. I'll post more updates to the mobs as I make them.
I wouldn't mind the wood being changed in color back to brown, maybe a dark brown? When I saw a borg I laughed so hard it killed me, that was awesome! I think 8472 is a good idea for the skelly, and tribbles a good idea for the slime. Maybe carts can look like nacelles or something, a crafting table can look like a holodeck.
Hey this looks really good, but im wondering if you plan on finishing it. If not, would you mind if I continued this project? I would of course give you credit for the existing textures.

Once I finish the pack I'll be sure to edit this post to include more information and pictures.
