Hey there
What does the "Test Minecraft" button actually do? I mean, how does it start the game?
Because when I start it like that, it works perfectly, but if I just launch Minecraft.exe it crashes after the Mojang logo. I'm using the LB Photo Realism texture pack.
Pretty sure it just launches the game with increased memory...
I am having compatibility issues with using MCPatcher to enable HD textures and when using the MagicChest Mod. I install magicChest the old fashion way and not using the MCPatcher. I only use the MCPatcher to enable HD textures.
When enabling HD with MCPatcher, it causes the textures from MagicChest mod to not appear. I get a purple square(default texture) or a blank square (nothing there(non-default texture pack))
I have a few other mods, none of which seem to be affected.
If you run into out of memory errors, try launching it with java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp Minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
Also, please make sure you're running the Sun JVM...
Can I use your patcher with an HD texture pack while having fly mod installed? Please respond >.<
If I can't can you tell me how to get fly mod off my minecraft copy? Thanks :wink.gif:

You can.
It's not necessary , but if you have any problems make sure to install Fly Mod AFTER you patch the game.
I don't want to go through the hassle of getting it working again.
And the fly mod isn't like a normal mod, it's more like a mod pack. It has classes that go into the minecraft.jar and config that goes into a seperate folder in the minecraft folder, minecraft>mods>zombe>config.
I don't know if you've specifically used the zombe's mod pack though.

If you have no mods installed currently, getting it to work again is simply force updating minecraft.
Which, I timed it, only took about half a second for me to do.
So it's not really a hassle.
If anything asking us if it works together would be more of a hassle for you than if you tried yourself.
So I have got a problem... I have a brand new 8 gig of ram dell inspiron laptop and i can run 16x16 texture packs perfectly with about 30 fps. However, when i PATCH the game with mcpatcher then use only a 32x32 texture pack, I drop to 10 fps no matter what fog distance. Any opinions on this issue?
Is it because I have the stupid Intel Integrated Graphics?

If you are only getting 30FPS with the default textures, I would not recommend using HD textures.
Can you give us the specs of your laptop?
Just because you have 8GB of RAM doesn't mean the rest of your parts are good.
Could also be that the 8GB of RAM is incredibly slow.
For some reason when I try to install Flan's Planes Mod, Flan's Vehicle Mod, and Sdk's Gun Mod it doesn't work. Minecraft runs fine but they just don't show up. Help!
P.S. I am on a Mac

That's kinda odd that should not happen at all. Log indicates you have 64-bit Java installed. Try setting the heap to 2048 and test again. Let us know how that works out for you.

What model of Intel Integrated graphics is it? The new Sandy Bridge (2000 or 3000) or something older?
If its not the newest ones, then thats your reason for sub-par framerates..
Hell even the newer ones would be the reason..
Who buys a Laptop with 8GB of RAM and only has integrated graphics? If you need 8GB of RAM (Video editing, 3D Modelling, and to lesser extent Gaming) thenyou also need a discrete graphics processor.. As even the best discrete mobility graphics aren't that great...
You my friend got the wool pulled over your eyes. Lots of RAM means nothing when it comes to performance outside of Professional Processing. Your better off with 2GB of fast RAM than 8GB of slow RAM.
Also, don't play Minecraft fullscreen?
EDIT: Sorry for the rant, but people need to research technology more before buying the shiniest one on the shelf
But ive got 1 problem, my bin folder is inside C:\Users\****\Desktop\Minecraft\_minecraft beta 1.6.6 n00b edition\
while the rest of my folders are inside C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft (e.g. resources, texturepacks etc.)
And when i want to start the patcher it says:
Minecraft not found in
C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
If the game is installed somewhere else please select the game
folder (the one containing bin, resources, saves, etc., subfolders).
But my folders are seperated as i said in my first sentence.
And when i try to move the bin folder from C:\Users\****\Desktop\Minecraft\_minecraft beta 1.6.6 n00b edition\
it just creates a new folder right there, and uses that one...
I know this has probably nothing to do with your app, but i hoped you know a solution.
Thanks in advance,
Munck
Why do you have them in different folders? 0.0 Simple solution is to make sure ALL game files are in the same folder. Then all you need to do is make a desktop icon to the minecraft.exe file if you are running the app outside of a browser.

Oh noes, I found a bug.
Every so often, (I think it has something to do with see-through blocks,) my edits to the world, (placing and removing,) start becoming invisible as if I hadn't done anything, but the outline that appears around blocks reflects my edits. The error goes away only after I restart Minecraft, and it's started to get annoying. I started with a vanilla copy of Minecraft, updated to 1.6.6, used the patcher, moved the texture packs in, and selected them from the start menu. I'm pretty sure it keeps tripping up even if I'm using the default texture pack. Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if you need additional information.
EDIT: I'm using DokuCraft, but it's the most recent version and I don't think that matters much.
Pretty sure it just launches the game with increased memory...

Hell, I used MCPatcher to install them all.
Why does it matter if you mess up your minecraft.jar though? o.O
