The 'HD Textures' option is greyed out for me in 2.1.0, is that because I'm still using minecraft 1.5_01? If so, is the previous version still available (didn't see it in the link in OP) ?
So my question is, ever since I've been playing minecraft since last April and I play with vanilla minecraft, 16x16 texures I get about 8-12 FPS and visual artifacts and such.
But when I use MCPATCHER HD FIX 2.1.0 and set the java heap size from 1024 to 2048 it increases the FPS to about 20FPS.
The crazy thing that I don't get is.. the higher the resolution texture pack I use the higher my FPS goes up. Like.. 32x32 I get about 40+, when I use 64x64 I get almost 90.
Without MCP Patcher and a 16x16 Texture Pack:
[Notice the lag, and the artifacts?]
Can someone please explain why my minecraft doesn't want to work on anything lower than 32x32?
maby this is not the place to poste it, but thank you thank you, thank you!!! for making it so fast for 1.6.4 and making me a happy person :biggrin.gif: my things look great.

JUST the MC Patcher (whatever version), on a clean install of Minecraft. I just used 2.01 and I thoroughly agree with quote #2 :smile.gif: (except I'm using it on 1.5)
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but my items are all glitched with weird line artifacts (seems like a render issue). I noticed this issue (although relatively minor depending on the texture pack / item) in 1.5, but it is much more pronounced in 1.6.
Bug found and fixed, thanks. There was a slight change in the ItemRenderer class that caused one of the bytecode patches to not match anymore. I'll post a new version tonight.
I'm not sure if this has been said before but the link for the source code and earlier versions does not give me any of the earlier versions :tongue.gif:. It just gives me source code.
Using the 128x and 256x of the LB Photo Realism texture pack, all the items are just white boxes would appreciate a fix on this as it's a lovely pack.
I'm experiencing this as well. I made a note in the LB Photo Realism thread, but the pack author said that it was the patcher's fault. Would also appreciate a fix (or if it's the pack's fault, clarification on what needs to be done to fix it in the pack)

I too would like to know a fix. It's quite frustrating. =(
So I'm on a Mac, and EVERY time I try to patch this, NOTHING happens. The texture packs stay grayed out in the folder, but I never get an error. I can doubleclick a texture pack, but it doesn't REALLY open. And I checked the zips, they're all fine.

I have the lastest version graphic card drivers. I'm saying 16x16 texture packs don't work.
I have to use 32x32 or higher in order to play minecraft.
Did you read my entire post?
It looks like that screenshot if I don't use MCPatcher.
Of course I use MCPatcher to make the game work without artifacts and lag.
Yea... I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Please read... it's been stated in the OP.

Phantom's Survival Server [3KBCraft]
They arent working for me either.
Custom water, lava, fire, etc are no longer working.
They worked perfectly fine with older versions of the patcher and not now.
And I haven't changed anything with my texture pack's files other than adding the new plants and hatches.
custom_water png's
and custom_lava png's
and customfire etc
all are present but do not work when I use the new patcher now.
Maybe its a problem with 16x texture packs.
It makes me very sad inside.
Bettergrass works, though.

The fix was posted earlier. What you have to do is add ModLoader to minecraft.jar before patching with MCPatcher.
In 1.5_01 cn.class is affected
In 1.6.x ct.class is affected
Once you do that you will have ModLoader and BetterGrass without the weird stone texture issue on grass blocks.
