I'm installing from a fresh version of minecraft with no other mods installed. I've selected "custom animated" for everything, water, lava, etc. and i've enabled texture cache. My Class Map and Patch Summary information matches up with what you quoted there and yet I still crash when trying to use that texture pack... :sad.gif:
I went back a few pages but didn't see another post by you....what texture pack are you using?
I'm using the DOKU DSRemix pack, still can't get it working.
I don't think I've gotten a graphics card yet. I got this computer when I was (more) ignorant about tech stuff. So I'm assuming I'm on Mirage 3 graphics. Would a graphics card fix the problem?
About $40 - $100 down the drain
64-bit Java is installed in Program Files where-as 32-bit Java is installed into Program Files (x86).
However, if you don't have a Program Files (x86) directory at all it means you are on a 32-bit OS and thus have 32-bit Java.
So, the question is:
Do you have a 64-bit Operating System?
In Windows:
Start
Right Click 'My Computer'
Click Properties
Look at 'System Type: --'

Hopefully, the next version of the patcher will also sterilize anyone who screws up and then tries to blame a texture pack maker for "breaking" their Minecraft.

Who said he has Windows 7? And most people don't have such an install disc. They have the OS under an OEM license that came with the computer they bought.
Most people have Windows 7 now-a-days... If he's on Windows XP OEM he's out of luck.
Though there are always alternative methods to get Windows 7 for free.
Some legal, some not.
That's as far as I'll get into it.
Also, I counter your argument saying most people don't have such an install disc.
A majority of the people I know BUILT their computers, and didn't buy it prebuilt, thus have Install Discs.

I'm using the DOKU DSRemix pack, still can't get it working.
Maybe it's our graphics cards? Here's my comp specs... don't laugh:

any idea whats wrong?
Judging by your response, you have 32-bit Java.
Did you try clicking it?

Nah, i have windows 32 bits.

Not sure then...
Best bet would be to install Windows 7 x64.

If you have a Windows 7 x86 CD then you already have a 64-bit OS 'Upgrade' for free. ;-)
Don't YOU know how much such an 'upgrade' costs? :tongue.gif:

Retired StaffYou'll have to link it. I searched three different versions of that and it's not where I can see it. My guess is still that it's not updated

I agree. =)
I'm using the sheep texture pack, and when I try to patch it it doesn't work.

I'm predicting it was another instance of Error ID:10T.
But yes, I'm fully in support of such retroactive "corrections" to our history. Stupidity is all that stands between Mankind and Utopia.
