Getting a crash. I think it may have something to do with Optimine, but I'm not sure. (I'm no expert at looking at Error Logs)
Minecraft works fine and so does the patcher as far as I know. But when I open Mod's and Texturepacks button, and as soon as I click a texturepack, it freezes for a few seconds then crashes.

I'm having the same issue. When I select a new texture pack, minecraft hangs for a few moments, then crashes. When I re-open it, it has applied the texture I selected, at least.
I'm also running optimine so that is a likely suspect I suppose. Which is a shame as it helps keep my laptop cooler while playing MC~ other mods include modloader (duh), convenient inventory, and Nature Overhaul.
Any help/fix would be very awesome :smile.gif:

Unfortunately I haven't had the time to test it out and see if it IS optimine causing it. I'm also using MCPatcher 2.0 still, maybe it got fixed?

Optimine is causing it. I recently did a new install, just the patcher and optimine and was wondering why my game kept crashing after selecting a texture pack. I don't use any other mods. Did the same thing, when I open the game the texture pack I selected before is now selected. So select new texture pack - game crash - tp selected on next game start.
Reinstalled without optimine and works like a charm again. Hope this helps.
Can't use a texture pack with this. Each time I use it it ends up blurring out. Help?

If you're annoyed with bettergrass and modloader not working together there is an easy fix. When you patch your game don't tick the bettergrass box. Then, Download it from this thread and install bettergrass and modloader, then the compatibility patch from there. Now you can use texture packs, modloader and have bettergrass until the patcher is updated to have this fixed.
Actually now that I think about it, it is not a problem with the texture pack. Because when I scrubbed my bin and resources folder and re-downloaded MC, my crafting table and furnaces looked like how they're supposed to look in the texture pack. Same goes for the animals. The wolves looked like Wolfos. The Skeletons looked like Stalfos. The sheep, I have no idea wtf those looked like. They looked like tables that walked around. o_0 The cows looked like how they are in OoT.
Yet when I used the patcher the first time around, all that got set back to vanilla MC. So it's not a problem with the texture pack. It's a problem with the patcher.

No...you did something wrong and don't remember what it is. If you TRULY scrubbed your bin folder, you would NOT see anything but vanilla...period.

If you are only using it for your server, you don't have to change... it's really only if you are publicly releasing it on the forums or whatever...
Just IMO :-P. It IS his cobblestone texture.
Anyway, are you using any other modifications?
I'd recommend trying from a fresh minecraft.jar.
I seem to not be able to enable HD fonts or HD textures via the patcher, only bettergrass.
Is this a result of Optimine or Optifog you think?
As you can see its no major issue, as I only use "Faithful" and the default textures to begin with, but ive had this happen to me before and can't remember how I fixed it.
EDIT:
Ok found out the exact process so it looks correct and doesn't bork it:
[For those using this with Optimine and Optifog as well as modloader and are having issues]
Patch first (Without bettergrass, or the side of blocks will turn grey) install modloader then Optimine after that Optifog (Without the ip.class)
Many jars where sacrificed.

Then I just play minecraft and set the texture pack (lb Photo realism 128x) and it crashes. How come? How Do i fix?

Yet when I used the patcher the first time around, all that got set back to vanilla MC. So it's not a problem with the texture pack. It's a problem with the patcher.

If you are only using it for your server, you don't have to change... it's really only if you are publicly releasing it on the forums or whatever...
Just IMO :-P. It IS his cobblestone texture.
Anyway, are you using any other modifications?
I'd recommend trying from a fresh minecraft.jar.

Is this a result of Optimine or Optifog you think?
As you can see its no major issue, as I only use "Faithful" and the default textures to begin with, but ive had this happen to me before and can't remember how I fixed it.

Ok found out the exact process so it looks correct and doesn't bork it:
[For those using this with Optimine and Optifog as well as modloader and are having issues]
Patch first (Without bettergrass, or the side of blocks will turn grey) install modloader then Optimine after that Optifog (Without the ip.class)
Many jars where sacrificed.
