was playing with optifine in 1.11.2 and it was doing biome and height specific mobs (from Misa's and Sphax). Not sure when it got added, but it was about the last thing.
Oh noes... that's some miserable news for me
My pack and future work was planned with biome specific mobs...
Which leads me to another important question... biome specific textures do not work only on mobs or overall incl. biome-specific textures for blocks/items?
Last Q...
I was using lightmaps in MCPatcher... from what I have noticed when I switched now to OF that the lightmaps have not loaded, and if yes definitely not correctly. That said... does OF supports Lightmaps?
damn it... mcpatcher was my favourite
half features are now gone from my pack :/
Hey so I was working on a resource pack, using overlays to add smoother transitions between blocks
as you can probably see, it worked for all the full blocks but not on the path or tilled soil... and i'm not entirely sure why... i'm assuming its cause they aren't full blocks. If anyone has a solution please respond!
I have a personal mixpack with a set of overworld sky textures that I like a lot, but it's pretty jarring when I go to another dimension (Twilight Forest, Tropics, Aether, Atum...) and the sky there is completely vanilla. Copying the world0 file and renaming it to the appropriate dimension ID doesn't work, and I imagine there's something special going on with Twilight Forest's sky given that the dimension is locked at sunset. I've posted in these mods' respective threads, looked at other resource packs, and tried some things on my own, and I've had no luck.
Is it possible to have BetterSkies skies for mod dimensions in 1.7.10, and if so, what do I need to do?

So I am having an issue with mcPatcher and I think it's a bug with CIT implementation but I wanted to be sure so I'm posting it here. I know development on mcPatcher seems to have ground to a halt so I'm not holding out much hope of this being fixed if it is a bug but I have to post it somewhere so here goes...
I'm trying to use custom overlay graphics for armour icons to indicate what their enchants are. A small arrow in the bottom left of the Helm icon to represent projectile protection for example. Below is a screenshot example of what I mean.
From top to bottom it shows Projectile Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection.
Now this all looks fine and dandy but when I equip the items, the icons appear in seemingly random places overlayed on the actual worn armour, like in the case of blast protection on my legs and back as can be seen below:
The code I'm using for the icons is below:
type=enchantment
items=310 #Item ID for Diamond Helm
texture=/cit/Armour/blast #Directory location for blast icon file
enchantmentIDs=3 #ID of Blast Protection Enchant
blend=replace
speed=0
rotation=0
layer=6
duration=0
I've tried practically everything I can think of to get this working but it seems as though it's a fundamental problem with the way CIT is implemented. I have correctly used "type=enchantment" however this seems to be incorrectly utilising some form of bugged version of "type=armor" which is the type you need to use to replace the worn armour graphic.
Anyway I hope this makes sense to anybody and I am just doing something wrong here. If anyone can shed any light on this or help in any way then I'd be grateful.

MCPatcher wont work.... Using the GLSL shaders mod
It cant find the versions

OptiFine supports almost all MCPatcher features, biome/height specific mobs should work.
Here are the missing ones: https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/blob/master/OptiFineDoc/doc/todo.txt
Currently the CTM overlays only work for full blocks.

Curse PremiumJust install optifine I think. I know the folder structure and documentation didn't change.
Could someone please direct me to download link? I've searched and the ones I've found seem sketchy.
Thanks

This is the main website with links to the MCF thread and GitHUB page for documentation and stuff.

works:
