NOTE TO EVERYONE WHO WISHES TO USE 3D MODELS WITH CIT
After using my CIT and 3D models at the same time, I noticed that the uv coordinates for the normal item are also used for the CIT.
I was confused at first, but now I realise that you can 'cheat' CIT and 3D models combined.
Step 1: Get Minecraft 1.8 (duh)
Step 2: Build your 3D model for your normal item. 'Can't I just skip this?' Answer is no.
Step 3: Build your 3D model for the CIT Item. For the 'texture' and 'particle' areas in the json, you can just use the default item's texture, e.g. diamond_sword
Step 4: Copy-paste all the PARTS that MAKE UP THE MODEL. The end curly brackets at the bottom, and the 'textures' , 'particle' and 'element' ARE NOT NEEDED as they are already in the .json for the normal item
Step 5: increase the resolution for BOTH/ALL YOUR TEXTURES. This is done to 'accommodate' the CIT images. So, if you have a 16x16 texture of a normal diamond sword, and a custom 32x32 CIT diamond sword, you would increase the 16x16 to 32x32, and the 32x32 to 64x64. Why? You move the normal texture TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE and the CIT texture to the right. This will make you have to re-map the uv though
Step 5: Clean up any errors that you may have done in the .json
Step 6: Load up Minecraft and enjoy.
(Note: I have not actually tested this, but it should work, IN THEORY)

I was thinking more of having all the CIT textures as overlays on the default model at 1%, so that when the CIT texture is applied, the edges will render. (Another way would be to have CIT simply load the item's model as layers, similar to enchantment).
But what if you wanted to have a different model for a different type of name/enchantment?
E.G a Sharpness Iron Sword has a thicker blade than a normal Iron Sword,
or a bow with a certain name is changed to a futuristic weapon
Yes, unfortunately a compound model is the only way to go for CIT at the moment. Mcpatcher needs some way of dynamically changing models, like CTM currently does for textures.
Now i'm fairly certain which MCPatcher just has an effect on the designs so if you increase the risk for new feel 'fit' the main one used in default it will seem great!
I have looked in the bitbukkit, and the github. i cant fined any support for the underlava color.
Dose any one have any other sources?
To my knowledge, this has never been able to be changed with MCPatcher. I recall it's been brought up before, but I don't think Kahr has ever mentioned whether or not it's possible to add it nor if he has plans to do so.
I am playing vanilla Minecraft 1.8.1 with the current hd patcher. With active hd patcher I encounter missing screen updates sometimes, e.g.
opening a door, hearing the door sound, but the visible state is not updated (looks closed, but it is not).
placing a stone block, hearing the placing sound, but no stone visible.
Doing something like placing another stone seems to refresh the screen.
Changing from profile "MCPatcher" to my standard profile removes the problem. Is this problem related to MCPatcher?
I can confirm I'm experiencing exactly the same issues - invisible block placement, odd probs with doors. I've also noted quite a few of my placed paintings appear invisible (oxymoron alert there!) after reloading my world. MC still thinks they are there, as I can't place another painting in the effected area and as soon as I destroy a block on which the invisible painting is sitting it pops off!
I'd always thought it was a vanilla MC problem, but I'll do some comparisons myself again as soon as I can. The invisible block thing really does spoil that interactive 'feel' of placing blocks.
edit: 'invisible paintings' was due to me using 'F3+T' when editing. All the paintings refreshed correctly when I reloaded my world...so not a problem as I thought! Still haven't tried placing blocks in vanilla MC yet to test invisible blocks 'cause I'm busy editing stuff.
sadly optifine DOES have connected textures but does not work with current shaders mods. MCPatcher works with it but no connected textures or better grass or several other things. soooooooo I am currently stuck between a rock and a hard place run optifine for connected textures ect ect but no shaders, or run mcpatcher for shaders but no Connected textures better grass ect ect......
any idea on when or if this stuff will be added to MCPatcher again?

Uh, I don't understand what you're saying here. MCPatcher DOES have CTM (can be used to get the same effect as better grass), and CIT. They just exist under a different name (they've been combined under "Custom Textures and Models") as of mc1.8.
The only thing I'm aware of that isn't implemented yet is better glass.

This is a Vanilla Minecraft problem, not a problem with MCPatcher. The game just has issues lately with updating the texture properly. The problem -should- fix itself when you leave and restart regardless of whether or not you change profile, but it's a random occurrence so it's hard to test properly. This is just a block update issue, though.

I'm almost 100% positive that this have been suggested before but i'll suggest it again anyways
I know this has probably mentioned a lot already, but the first thing that pops up when you type "MCPatcher" into Google is a scam site that installs malware to your computer... and I just downloaded it. Please, someone, do whatever you can to get mcpatcher.net taken down.

As I've said before, I recommend reporting it as a badware site to Google. If enough people complain, it will be taken off of their search listings. You can find the form Here. While it's probably not possible to take down the scam site, it IS possible to prevent Google from directing people to it.
Please do your part to stop that site. Thank you.

Putting the CENDENT back in transcendent!

Sorry.
I thought that there was a version of last days that had it. (new formatting keeps me from testing the old stoff).
Thanks
