Strange..... When I test minecraft via the program, it has the default painterly lava. But as soon as I open the real minecraft app, it just displays non-animated default texture pack lava.
Lava is set to default in the patcher itself.
*EDIT* Unchecking HD textures appears to have remedied the problem!
*EDIT 2*At the cost of the custom water, however................ Any ideas on a possible fix?
hello, i've installed/patched this program on my mac, i did not have any mods installed, but it does not work, when i go into my texture pack and mods folder on minecraft every texture pack is greyed out and if i click on them it stays on the standard texture, i looked into the texture packs and they are laid out correctly. i tried turning off custom animations and it still did not work, i tried turning up the java heap size and it still did not work. the texture packs i tried were dokucraft 32x and G's 64x. i've run out of idea's on how to get this to work, any help would be appreciated. thank you
are they zipped in a folder?

Ok so I've tried everything to get painterly texture pack and toomanyitems installed using mcpatcher and the jar tool.
It didn't work so I've gone to trying to do it manually. I've deleted the META-INF folder, and I've put all of the classes in the bin. Nothing works
I'm having an issue, switching to HD textures makes minecraft really unstable. I used a clean copy of minecraft and patched it, then just switched to the HD texture (picture realism 256x, or Pixel Perfect 256x). I used the test and get this error:
########## GL ERROR ##########
@ Pre render
1285: Out of memory
It usually doesn't happen immediately, most often when I try and load a map but it runs rather slow before that.

I am on a mac, and I downloaded it, installed everything correctly. I tried john smith txt pack, and I click on the selection, but nothing happens when I go in-game. The .zip is configured correctly, idk what is wrong.
I just found a post saying I need to increase the java heap size, then saying to go watch a video on youtube that has been removed. any advice about how I would do this?

Second tab on the patcher has the option of increasing the java heap size (bottom box0...try 2048 and see if that helps

Curse Premiumcheck the first post
edit: the only thing it doesn't say is to delete your bin folder and re download minecraft from the launcher first

update your drivers

Painterly doesn't require the mcpatcher, you just place the zip file in the texture packs folder
Can you give us a little more info?

Curse PremiumI tried to use an HD pack. The pumpkin texture was all glitchy. So the patcher didnt work. I also tried to use Dokucraft. It didnt patch the water.

Curse Premiumthe patcher shouldn't mess with the pumpkin texture at all. was custom water selected when you patched?
edit: and did you install any mods before patching?
