Feature request: a new color map for sky when raining/thundering. It would work better with RPs using weird sky colors and, above all, it would make it possible to make more realistic cloudy skies, for example white-ish in cold biomes to simulate a blizzard, yellowish in Deserts to simulate sandstorms etc.
Has anyone else been having trouble with partially transparent textures in the last several snapshots? My new stained glass and the water just flicker between their actual textures, and being mostly invisible (more often the latter).
Kahr, you think you could add an option to the next MCPatcher that reverts whatever changes they made?

This is a known problem with Minecraft. Any pixel with less than 50% opacity seems to be affected. This is really Mojang's problem to fix, so I doubt Kahr will be inclined to clean up their mess.
Instead, I think someone linked to the bug-tracker entry for this one the last page or two. Find it and up-vote it!
Just want to report an issue i've run into with mcpatcher-4.3.0-beta2:

Ok I’m currently trying to patch a resource pack that I edited (Faithful 64x64 EDIT) and it’s just not patching no matter what I try. I’m trying to Mcpatch the texture pack’s HD font so there are no spaces and makes the font look normal. When I try to patch the Texture pack with Extended HD, Custom Colors and Custom Item Textures it just crashes the game. I’m trying to patch the resource pack and not the jar and it just doesn’t work even with a normal 1.6.4 .jar. It also crashes the game when it tries to start up with the 1.6.4 Mcpatcher .jar. It comes up in Mcpatcher with “Minecraft exited with status -1” and java.lang.NullPointerException at bkd.b(SourceFile:76) at atv.O(SourceFile:332) [Minecraft] at atv.d(SourceFile:599) [Minecraft] at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:101)

If someone could help me with clear instructions of how to Mcpatch a 1.6.4 resource pack and not the .jar that would be great.

(Sorry for any bad grammar I’m tired )
You don't use MCPatcher directly on the resource pack, you only use it on the jar. If you're trying to update a texture pack to a different format, click one of the options on the "Convert Texture Pack" drop-down menu.
If you're having trouble with the width of the characters, you can read about how to fix it in the "Information for Texture Pack Authors" section in the OP.
I don't know if Im the first one (I don't think so) and im very sorry if this question is out of place. But is it possible to implement the possibility to bumpmap the textures?
Not with MCPatcher. You'll need something like Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders mod for that. While I can't speak for Kahr, I find it unlikely that he'll ever make MCPatcher alter the rendering engine so much that it would support bump mapping.

I have tried that and it doesn't work, I have also seen many texture packs with the mcpatcher folder in them?
For 4.3.0-beta3, I'm getting this with every skin (default or not) loading a resource pack or reloading default.
Game consistently crashes with this

Hi , I having trouble with CIT on a Human head with 1.6.4
type=item
items=397
damage=3
nbt.display.Name=MHF_Slime's Head
tile=MHF_Slime
So I handle a private resource pack for a server , this server has a plugin(Headhunter) where if you kill a mob it will drop the head. Now I would like it where the head that is dropped does not show the default Steve head item skin, instead will show the appropriate mob skin.
So I can get this to sort of work if I use other damage values ie skeletons skulls(397),Zombie heads(397:2) that are renamed using a anvil, but I don't want this.For some reason the human head (397:3) item does not retexture.
Hopefully I'm doing something dumb and this is a quick fix
If you have any suggestions , let me know.
Edit: Ok so I noticed that a dropped head is in normal text but if I rename a Human head in an anvil it had Italic text(This one works), so I tried
nbt.display.Name=regex:.*MHF_Slime's Head.*
Still no luck
Pictures
Dropped head
Renamed Spawned in head (renamed using an anvil)
Edit 2: Manged to figure it out, instead of matching the name of the item it now matches the skull owner
Did the location we are supposed to put the colormaps for birch and spruce trees change again? Both of mine have stopped working... again. I currently have them in the mcpatcher\colormap folder.
(PS, any progress on getting random mobs working for horses? :3)
Edit: I tried previous versions of MCPatcher just in case, and the birch and spruce trees aren't showing custom colors in those either. I haven't changed anything, so I'm not sure what happened. I definitely have the "custom birch and pine trees" option checked. I'm using the correct profile. The images are called birch.png and pine.png, and they are located in "assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\colormap" folder. They just stopped working out of nowhere.
So how are the new stained glasses going to be affected by BetterGlass, or for that matter, how is BetterGlass going to be affected by the new stained glasses?
Hey so a few weeks ago I saw Misa's proposal for a MCpatcher supported custom biome colormap that had every biome aligned horizontally with gradients going up. Is that A Thing yet in MCpatcher? Is it going to be implemented? If not, does anyone have a pixel perfect template for the new setup?
