So I'm a bit clueless. I'm trying to use Zedas RPG texture pack. I tried using the old patcher but the game would crash every time I placed/destroyed/created a block. So I decided to try this version of mcpatcher. However, since there's no texture packs tab, I'm a bit clueless as to how I need to install my texture pack...
Is there any chance this mod could be extended to load biome colors (glasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png) from texture packs? As far as I know, that's the only remaining texture-pack-related reason to put files in minecraft.jar.
This works fine for me, I installed my first texture pack, Faithful 32x32. It was actually pretty simple; So can I switch back to default textures or any other textures without having to patch again, I just pick them from the minecraft menu, right? So I can use any texture packs now? I'm just making sure I understand this right.

#37) Ores tend to spawn in packs
If you take one out you better be ready to take on its angry cousins!
Took out an over head coal node once and was snuffed by a gang of Gravel seeking revenge!

Frankly my dear... You should stop nagging me so much...
This means you have a conflicting mod installed. MCPatcher is compatible with many mods, but some mods change the game's class files enough to confuse it. If it detects one of these situations, the patcher refuses to apply the patch instead of applying it and likely crashing later. If you hover the mouse over the greyed out item, it will describe what classes are conflicting. Try running the patcher first and then installing the other mod.
So I'm getting this problem... except this is the only mod I have installed. At first I thought it was because I was using a compilation texture pack, but I tried it with various 1.5_01 updated packs and none of them worked either. Any help?
I'm making a 32x texture pack and just the terrain.png and some other files are 32, the rest are 16 (default)
With the other patcher it worked just fine but now it just shows up the same as default...
Do I have to make ALL the files 32? :/

Noone can help me ?
FAQ didn't help me / didn't work for me.
This patcher won't work for me then.
I just dont understand why this isnt an exe anymore. Who needs to switch texture packs so fast. You search one that you like and then you play with it. Done.
Big Dislike for this version.
.jar and .exe are the same thing...they just run with different programming languages. if it didn't work you didn't try everything
nowhere in that post does it say you tried deleting your bin folder and re-downloading minecraft from the launcher before patching...and if right clicking on the patcher, going to properties and setting it to run with java.exe (which you may have to browse for) doesn't work something is overriding it on your system
