Hello. I've been looking around a bit for information on CIT, but I guess because it's a "hidden" feature that seems to still be in development, I'm basically finding nothing about it. I've found the cit.properties file, so I understand how to use it basically, that isn't a problem.
What I'm here about is that I can't get CIT to work on held items while I have Forge installed. I read on the Optifine page that they might not include a CIT feature because it "modifies a class that is already heavily modified by Forge".
Logically Forge is creating the incompatibility. I have to have Forge, so my question is this: Is there a way to work around this? Some feature I can check/uncheck? Perhaps a class file I could remove from somewhere that wouldn't break anything too severely?
Just typing this I'm realizing what a dumb question this is. But on the off-chance there is a way, I'll post it anyway.
Firstly, as I've seen, with that version of MCPatcher, for an unknow reason, you can't use textures that are inside /textures folder. As you use only texture in that folder,
Yes, the problem is with the texture pack. zx.class is ColorizerFoliage and it's crashing because the foliagecolor.png is only 64x64. It should always be 256x256 no matter what size the pack is. Same goes for grasscolor.png. My guess is the author didn't realize this when he made the lower resolution versions and just scaled everything down. You can fix it yourself by grabbing the 256x version and copying just those two files from the misc directory into the 64x version.

I'm guessing that means "Premature end of file." Try deleting mcpatcher3.xml from the .minecraft folder.
The name of this mod is Better Skies and I want it. I've searched for Download, but couldn't find. Do anyone have any download link for this or Do you know how to extract this from MC Patcher and install manually (preferable to put as jar file into Mods or Coremods folder since I use couple mods (plan to use more) with Forge). I've looked into downloaded MC Patcher but couldn't find it :/
What you're asking for doesn't exist, and if it did it would likely be incompatible with Forge since Better Skies modifies the RenderGlobal class. I have no reason to develop and support such a thing since MCPatcher's mods all work fine with Forge if you install them as outlined in the OP.

At this point, any future CIT development will be for Minecraft 1.6+ / MCPatcher 4.0 only due to all of Mojang's texturing changes. Since Forge is only for 1.5.2 right now, we'll just have to wait and see if the incompatibility remains when they update.
It took a while to get something stable enough for release, but here's MCPatcher 4.0.0 beta (exe) for 13w19a. Mojang's changes to the texturing code necessitated yet another break in backward compatibility; hence the jump to the next major version. This also means it works with the new launcher only. CIT and two new CTM methods are still works in progress.
Nevermind, I realized that you had in red. Thanks! Would be useful though if the 3.0.4 would work with the new launcher. If you delete the .minecraft\bin it will glitch out and even if you select your .minecraft it gives you an error.
It would be amazing if CIT would not only work with items, but also with blocks (CBT? ). So if someone could single player also plays the CTM blocks come without having to cheat.
Do you think you could ever give us a way to add custom overlayed textures for biome-colored blocks? Like, have a sort of grassy stepping stone block where the stones/bricks are their normal color, but the grass growing around them is it's own tinted white texture, or mossy cobble and bricks that have dry, yellow moss in deserts and what not, or torches with fire that changes color depending on dimension, while keeping the rest of the torch a normal wood color, stuff like that. I'd love it, and I'm sure plenty of other TP artists would be able to do some really creative stuff.
Also, not sure if this is somehow possible with CTM already, but maybe custom textures for potted plants, so we can have patches of flowers and shrooms out in the world, but single ones that fit nicely in their pots. That'd be awesome
So, I saw Dragon_Tamerz tutorial on page 311, about animating randomized textures, and I had it set up how he says to do it, but it doesn't seem to work.. Am i missing something? Below is the Properties file. It's called "Diamond_0.properties" and it's directly in /anim. The other two image directories are also correct. Am I required to animate all of the possible random textures for Diamond, perhaps?

What you looked at is probably outdated. To do it now, just animate the tiles, and add the txt files as you would a vanilla texture and MCpatcher will animate the tile using the vanilla method.

Moomoomoo3O9, (Moomoomoo THREE O NINE, NOT ZERO!) Redstone Wirerer. I also make Dokucraft Textures!

Please take off that stupid fking 'I WILL NOT COMPLAIN IF THIS DOESNT WORK" thing. I use Mcpatcher on modded files all the time, and I don't need to type that in every freaking time. I won't complain if it doesn't work, but it's just rude and stupid to make us type that in every time.
Where can we find the info for the new CTM methods?
The new methods are horizontal+vertical and vertical+horizontal. They can be abbreviated to h+v and v+h respectively. They combine the horizontal and vertical methods favoring one over the other when both types of connections are possible.
A picture (courtesy of Misa who proposed the idea) is a better explanation:

Hm, not sure why that would break. And this doesn't happen unpatched?
Fixed!
Go back a page or two.

There's a known problem with AA/Anisotropic filtering that I'm still working on.The new methods are horizontal+vertical and vertical+horizontal. They can be abbreviated to h+v and v+h respectively. Since you asked nicely, no.
I don't think it's possible to apply any form of CTM to the lava or water textures due to the special rendering they use.
How would the transition between biomes work?

Curse PremiumWell, I guess it would fade in and out as you crossed the border, like the sky0.png biome template does.
