I've probably botched something, but is anyone else having issues with glass pane renderpass? Mine was working a few days ago but now I can't get transparency to appear for glass panes no matter what I do. Transparency works fine for glass blocks, but not for panes?
Update: Nevermind, I redid the pane texture and it works as before: perfectly!
Forgive me if this question has already had been repeated but I haven't found the answer I was looking for. You see, I've already converted the texture pack while using a clean jar. What happens is that even though I have the intended interfaces, the blocks are still using the original texture pack with only a few exceptions. This happening to other texture packs like the Rome pack and Legionaer pack. Does anyone know what's going on?
For some reason only the north and top faces of grass blocks are being biome-coloured in my texture pack.East, west, and south faces all have grey grass.
It is telling me a brand new, freshly downloaded, 1.4.7 is "modded"and refuses to do anything with the file. No amount of redownloading 1.4.7's will amend this... Advice? I'm tired of broken HD textures.
Edit: Now instead of the modded error it simply has all the HD fix options greyed out. I'm pretty sure this shouldn't be so troublesome...
Ok when i first got MCpatcher i didnt follow the instuctions. i secsesfully installed MCpatcher and theni opened the program. there was a few mods i did not want so i disabled them.(better glass, better skies, and a grass option avalible at the time. which was 1.3) i patched then ran MC. it crashed with a blck screen. i was freaking out so i deleted MCpatcherwithout unpatcing. that was some time ago. now my computer will blackscreen but it goes to sleep? thescreen goes black and it becomes inactive but my programs still run. i have tried just about everything i can think of.(deleted MC's JAR, deleted MC altogether, updated, even reinstalling MCpatcher and patching and unpatching. nothing has worked and i need help. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

The converter doesn't overwrite the original texture pack. It creates a new file called mcpatcher-converted-<original name>.zip. Make sure you have the converted one selected in the game. Once you're happy with the results you can rename it if you want.

Delete both minecraft.jar and minecraft-1.4.7.jar and redownload. Also make sure you're using MCPatcher 2.x, not 3.x.

/cit/swordDiamond_broken.properties /cit/swordDiamond_new.properties /cit/swordSpecial_excalibur.properties /cit/swordSpecial_zelda.properties
My excalibur was not rendered when the conditions were meet for the broken or new one ... So I renamed them in : /cit/excalibur.properties /cit/masterSword.properties /cit/swordDiamond_broken.properties /cit/swordDiamond_new.properties
The idea would be that when loading the texture pack, it would sort by priority, from higher to lower ( so here, test1 would be rendered for the north face, and I could rename my files without having problems)
Only modloader, Too Many Items, Risugami's shelf, Risugami's spawner GUI, and Risugami's arrows mod. And the problem only happens for my texture pack. Every other pack I have, HD or otherwise, colours the grass normally
i may have missed it, but in 256 mode using the newest MCpacther, random grass_top is not working. It works if you only call out one block, but anything more than 1 crashed minecraft.
Optifine has its issues as well. They do not support CTM usage for glass. MC has been the overall best solution for variety in the game for me. But bugs happen.
For vanilla tiles, use just the base name. For CTM tiles, use the full path. I did this so there would be no chance of CTM tiles colliding with vanilla. For other mods, use whatever name the mod uses.

I'm not sure, but I think these two problems may be related. I was able to reproduce both problems, but they went away again when I repatched. I was using the mods BrokenEye listed and the default textures and cycling through the combinations of smooth lighting and fast/fancy graphics.
I put in a fix for what might be the problem, but I'm still only guessing. If either of you could post the crash log and Patch Summary, that would help.
i typed in I WILL NOT COMPLAIN IF THIS DOESN'T WORK just like that and still wont let me true dang it now i have to install optifine -.-
You probably missed a period or apostrophe. But wouldn't it just be easier to follow the directions instead? No mod can be expected to work if you install it improperly.
I am unable to get my 256x texture pack to work now that 1.5 is out. It worked during the shapshots, but now just crashes with this report.

Curse PremiumI've also updated the 1.4.7 version to fix a problem with the latest version of Better than Wolves.
I don't know if that's a typo, but it should be a lowercase w, not capital.

That's a new one. Are you using any other mods?
Much simpler solution:
Thanks, Kahr, you're beyond awesome for this.
This is what the problem was. User error on my part

tiles= 1-9 does not work
or tiles=1, 2, 3 does not work
But in the same folder web works fine
Any thoughts?
Now this works fine in 64x mode
