the snooper program that's built into the client now.... it doesn't correctly read texture pack size on a patched game. If the snooper is actively monitoring/collecting data about how many people use hd packs, we need that to be accurate. more importantly, if the patcher is breaking it's ability to read pack size, can it be fixed?
@tinemelk1 : mcpatcher and modloader do not play nice. the patcher already does the same thing as modloader when you use it to install mods. I'm sure you can find instructions that will make them kindof work together.
Hey Kahr, I'm trying to give the logs unique insides due to the new log orientations, but when I specify just north/south or east/west, it always applies it on top as well.
-snip-
It automatically rotates it, so all you need is specifying it for top/bottom.
I'm not the op but I went back and checked again on a clean install (no mods or anything and it actually is reproduced on that one. At least we can't say MCPatcher caused it.
Here is the same issue on a clean install. Even generated a new world.
Update: I posted a twitter message to @notch about this since it occurs on an unmodified/clean install.

Better Skies just doesn't seem to work for me. I used my own custom sky and then even tried using Derivation pack, just to test it out and see if I had done something wrong, or put something in the wrong place, but even using another pack it remains broken. The sky just shows up and white absolutely blank. Anyone else having this problem, or have a solution?
When I choose the better grass it turns gray when I install my mods!!! ( They are all risugami mods and dymanic lights )
I had this same problem as well, if you use an external program to install modloader (such as the magic launcher) then the better grass will become gray. You can use MCPatcher to install mods, or if you want to use magic launcher to make uninstalling mods easier, then just add modloader with MCpatcher and the issue will be no more.
It is also worth noting that if you just add modloader to the .jar file then you will have similar issues.
i would like to report that emralds do not show up with this patcher.
It's a texturepack issue, the emeralds have not been proberly added to the texture pack you are using. Use a different one until your current texture pack is updated.

I had a simalar issue with my texture pack when I borrowed the better skies from misa's texture pack. I had not problems when I made my own though. I belive the issue comes from a difference in sizes. Make it so that each tile in the better skies png is the same size as in your terrain.png. ie: if you are using a 32x texture pack (like me) then the terrain.png will be 512 x 512 pixels, so each tile for the skies.png will need to be 512 pixels making the overall file 1536 bits wide and 1024 pixels tall.

My girlfriend also has this problem. But not always. We both use Misas TP and sometimes she has a white sky (I think only at night). I can't figure out, what's the problem. Maybe it's because of not enough memory or a not so good gpu.
Can someone help me? When I run MCPatcher I patch Minecraft and I wanted to use the Better Skies mod for John Smith's texture pack. But it want let me check it. Please tell me how I can enable it. Sorry for my Noobness.
either i'm not doing something right,or mcpatcher isn't working right for me.when i download it, now and then it goes to 1.3.1, but when i re-open mcpatcher, it says 1.2.5, and i can't use anything but HD font. and my game is up to 1.3.1.

Curse Premiumwouldn't it make more sense to have dax make the shaders compatible? (since most people that rely on the patcher don't use shaders?)
@person above me: If you see blue/purple underlined words.. that is a link. the downloads are clearly labelled and are linked text.
