When I tried this patcher with 1.3.1 it gave me some kind of "your game appears to be already patched" kind of message and advised me to delete files and redownload them. Like mincraft1.3.1.jar and minecraft.jar or something.
I ended up just sticking with 1.3 to avoid the issue, since 1.3.1 is just minor internal fixes or whatever.
I have the same error, although I just patch it anyway and it hasn't caused any trouble yet.
D: D: Norton Wont let me download D: does anyone know how to download this and avoid norton, so i can accually get it? i still need norton, so i cant delete it...
For some reason when I try to download MCPatcher for 1.3 is it a threat to my computer!? Is this real, if so can you please change the download because I wont be the only person experiencing it. Thank you for reading.
Same with me, Norton Internet security deletes the file when it is done downloading saying its a threat! D:

I love MCPatcher, and very much appreciate the hard work Kahr has put into it.
I never had any problems before, but this Norton/Virus conflict is driving me a little crazy
No matter what I do I can't find a way around it... I can't find any way to retrieve the file or tell Norton it is okay. I am currently running Norton constant guard by Xfinity, and I was wondering if anybody else knew a way around it.
I tried everything already suggested in the thread, and I am honestly at a loss of what to do.
Symantec Endpoint Protection won't even allow me to run it. How does Symantec even know is modifies a files and think it is bad? It thinks MCPatcher is a trojan horse and auto delete it.
When I use MCPatcher, all of the blocks and items in More Explosives mod are invisible, like there's no texture for them, but when I install More Explosives using Magic Launcher, it all works fine. Should I re-download MCPatcher? On an old version of mcpatcher, it all worked fine as well. If this is just a new problem can this please be fixed?
For 1.3. I don't know if this is a glitch on the Texture Pack's part, but I'm using 16x16 SMPs Revival. Now, unpatched, this TP works fine, but when I patch, I think CTM bugs out wood, so that when it's placed normally (facing upwards, like it does when it spawns as a tree) all 6 sides of the block are wood textures, and the top and bottom sides don't have the rings of the wood showing. It's just wood textures. Is this glitch on MCPatcher's behalf or the TP I'm using's behalf. And is there any kind of fix, without having to disable CTM (if that's the problem) because CTM is massively used by this texture pack in blocks like grass, dirt, stone, stone slabs, cobble, etc. Just almost every block is affected by CTM and if it's CTM's fault, I hope I don't need to disable it.
My antivirus has warned of an attempted redirect from the down load page to a malicious web site and blocked it. However, I had no trouble downloading mcpatcher. I scanned it and it's safe.
So it would appear the problem is with the download page, not the file.
for those of you having problems downloading it due to security software, see if there's an option to temporarily disable protection. some of these antivirus programs are a bit overzealous.
edit: mcafee site adviser is flagging adfly. probably had a bad ad circulate and all the security companies decided to go nuts.
mcpatcher and the download locations it's stored on are virus free. they design these subscription based antiviruses for idiots these days. most of them are set to automatically block any unrecognized exe or jar file.
You gotta fix the download...norton dont allow the new download for some reason?

Curse Premiumdang.. rolled over to another page.. this was in response to the suggestion that Kahr should add a cool icon to the exe.
I have the same error, although I just patch it anyway and it hasn't caused any trouble yet.
Thanks guys. I didn't actually try to patch when I saw that error message. I assumed it wasn't going to work. Thanks for clearing that up.
Me too.
Just saying.
Cause It's not. Since it modifies another file Norton assumes it is bad. Avast says nothing though.
