makes sense, i think ^^
but my youtube experience taught me, that many people dont want to read or think before typing
That's why it is so important to read the OP. Granted, most noobs don't know about standard forum netiquette but they'll inevitably be subject to a 'baptism by fire' because its the only way they're going to learn.
There's no way a topic author is going to be patient enough to treat every noob with velvet gloves, that's why all the important details, warnings, disclaimers, FAQs etc. are set out in the OP. A noob should be astute enough to read the OP if not the title because it'd be silly (as well as breaking forum rules) to post nonsensical questions and demands.
Or rather, I can patch, but not select the "HD" texture option wish is what I wanted to patch in the first place.
The error I get says:
No classes matched (best match: tu.class, 3 signatures)
Fire: No classes matched (best match: ajb.class, 1 signatures)
I do have two mods installed, but they were the exact same mods I had before I last updated, and I managed to patch just fine back then, so I don't think they are the problem. They are the TF2 Sentry Gun mod and Mo' Creatures.
norton says this has a virus, but i dont believe that because i had norton b4 and it never said it had virus,so how do i stop it from removing it?
Norton should pop up a little box that says it has removed the file. There should be a link in that box for more information, click it. The dialog should pop up with the info on the file, click options. Click the link to restore file, then tell it yes and to ignore the file in the future. If you don't get the initial dialog, go to the options for the anti-virus and look for the quarantine area, find the file name in the list and tell it to restore. Can't be more exact because there are so many versions of Norton. Try their tech support forums if you need more help.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
When I tried this patcher with 1.3.1 it gave me some kind of "your game appears to be already patched" kind of message and advised me to delete files and redownload them. Like mincraft1.3.1.jar and minecraft.jar or something.
I ended up just sticking with 1.3 to avoid the issue, since 1.3.1 is just minor internal fixes or whatever.

I ran it on a 1.3.1 install and it seemed to work fine, no graphic problems that I noticed.
one thing mcpatcher apparently has a "Virus" and also it wont let me do the hd textures thingy have you not done that yet or?
See my post above about the so called "virus" - it's a false positive because the file is so new and not used by a lot of people yet. Tell your anti-virus program to buggar off and restore the file from quarantine.

seems to me that Norton is the only AV that flags this. (since the beginning... it's always been Norton.) get a clue people.
I believe McAfee was deleting it awhile ago.
Norton is a fine AV, it's not worth the money, but most who use it get it free. This file is suspicious looking and I would be concerned if my AV didn't at least mention that it could be dangerous. It's really not that big of a deal, you can tell it's safe by this thread and tell Norton to shh and mind it's own business.

It is broken for you because, I presume, you haven't done something right! MCPatcher is working perfectly for me so your problem is unique to you.

Curse PremiumYes it does...?
SMP's Revival, , and Misa's Realistic have star skyboxes, along with some other things in Derivation and Misa's Realistic.
works great for 1.3 but not 1.3.1
