I used LB 256 myself to test, so it should work. It looks like the texture pack itself got corrupted somehow. Try redownloading it?
I redownloaded the 256 and unpatched and then patched and now it works. So yeah maybe just a technical glitch with my computer. Thanks for the help :biggrin.gif:
I went to find and install the better grass mod, and the thread directed me to your patcher, which I use often and never saw the better grass mod with it. How to I get this mod?

No, and it really bums me out that I can't play my game with nice grafix. Oh well, I guess I'll just use boring old 16x16...
had a similar/maybe same issue when updating to 1.4..deleted my entire .minecraft folder after backing up my saves and tried again from a fresh install. worked...dunnno what made it different.

I've tried deleting the options.txt file, as you stated on the post for the non-beta version of the patcher, and I tried running it while the default texture was selected, but I still got this error.

Please can some one help me on how to use the -mcdir command? I want to put the minecraft folder on my desktop , I created a shortcut and then tried to add at the end of the shortcut properties target -mcdir C:\Users\George\Desktop but it actually just put the login and password instead of actually choosing the directory.
The -mcdir option is for the patcher, not the game. Run the patcher like this:

Better Grass was removed from the old patcher some time ago. The new patcher doesn't include it either. I may try to add it later, but no promises.

256x texture packs are tough on 32-bit OSes. You may be running out of memory. Try decreasing the Java heap size to 768 on the Options tab to leave more room for textures and see if that helps.

it should not be saved as a .zip it should be a .jar
Well I seem to be having an issue. I ran the patcher, copied Misa's texturepack to the texturepack folder, started the game, and clicked on Misa's pack. The game froze. Now every time I open the game, it gets to the Mojang splash screen (which is updated to Misa's picture) and it freezes there, then crashes to desktop with no log. Unpatching makes it work again, and it still works after being patched. But as soon as I click on Misa's pack, it freezes and doesn't work anymore. I only have Zomb's Modpack installed.
How does that help me? I know how to change it to default... The issue is that high res texture packs don't work. 16x ones do but nothing over that will. Selecting HD packs results in a freeze every time. Is Zombs mod incompatible with this?
Is that the Java heap size? If so, it's set to 1GB. I've used high res packs in the past (even 256x runs fine) so I don't see why it would be any different now. That was before this new patcher though. I remember using the old one where you had to patch it every time you wanted a different pack.

Retired StaffYes! Not only that, you can add many packs to the texture pack folder after you patch without having to patch again....(say that 5 times fast)

The -mcdir option is for the patcher, not the game. Run the patcher like this:
Better Grass was removed from the old patcher some time ago. The new patcher doesn't include it either. I may try to add it later, but no promises.
256x texture packs are tough on 32-bit OSes. You may be running out of memory. Try decreasing the Java heap size to 768 on the Options tab to leave more room for textures and see if that helps.
and I've tried running the .ZIP file with Java.exe, and Javaw.exe and it's still not running as an executable jar file
