Hey guys, I'm posting an issue a friend of mine have.
He has a mac and he used the mcpatcher but the texture pack doesn't show right. Any idea of what the problem could be?
Is there any way to do the HD patch without using MCpatcher?, the thing is that I installed some mods that are a ***** and a half to install on MCpatcher, and i forgot to do the patch before installing the mods manually, and if I do the patch now, MCpatcher will for some reason delete my mods.
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

Have strange problem with sandstone with generate sand village i have 2 different mapping for sandstone .
one is in my texture pack and the other i have no idea where it comes from.
When digging the block the false sandstone i get normal sandstone. When i do not using mcpatcher the both sandblocks looks right.
You can also find false sandblock below first sandstone you find in deserts ( the second layer of sand stone.)
Maybe its just an ID mismacht top and botom texture are ok, but side are false.
Have found the problem .
sandstone texture is jumping in a texture file called ctm.png
(im using last mcpatcher 2.4) this problem didnt exist with 2.37 release and older snapshot 12w28
For anyone interested, the new metadata values for logs are as follows:
4 - Oak Log E/W
5 - Pine Log E/W
6 - Birch Log E/W
7 - Jungle Log E/W
8 - Oak Log N/S
9 - Pine Log N/S
10 - Birch Log N/S
11 - Jungle Log N/S
This is useful if you use CTM for logs, whether it's actual connected textures, or just having different colored rings for the different logs. Don't forget, for the faces in the CTM properties, put the corresponding direction listed above.
First off you know how you can edit spider_eyes.png to make the eyes glow even at nightime? It would be cool if you added it to where we can make that type of file for any mob or block. We could just add a "_glowing" suffix. This would be extremely useful for scifi type packs like mine.
this isn't the shader mod thread.... and if you check the right thread, you will see that dax will never make snapshot compatibility..it's a waste of time.
I got a problem with this: when I am using it, it creates a new jar file, called ''minecraft 1.2.5.jar'' and saves it there instead of in the normal minecraft.jar. how do I make this not happen?

that is the backup it creates... it also makes the patched minecraft.jar.
I still love the simplicity of this. It's literally open, select the mods you want, click patch. Plus when it conflicts with something (like when I install optifine) I just have to click the UNpatch button. What other mods have that? It's too perfect.

That's the backup it makes. It actually mods the minecraft.jar and creates a copy of the old (vanilla) one and titles it by it's version.
edit: and I fell dumb for not noticing it before... the snooper program in the snapshots looks at what texture pack you use and what resolution it is. gathering real data about how many people use hd textures maybe? is there any documentation about this that I missed?
