I have a small problem with the connected textures. it seams that when I start Minecraft everything works fine but after some updates take effect around any block that uses connected textures, connected textures stops working and the block revert back to normal and the only way to fix it is to change the texture pack or turn off minecraft and turn it back on. pleas help.
Umm... How do i download it for 1.1? I have a mod for 1.1 and it has a texture with it but i need this but im not sure if this also works for 1.1 or only 1.2.5?

I'm having some issues with MCPatcher. The only reason I got it was because of the "LB Photo Realism" texture pack. The HD version can't even apply without the patch. However, both it and the lower resolution version have the same problem. Most blocks are transparent, and I can see all the way down to the bottom of the world, with lava and stuff floating around. Some blocks have textures that are recently visited websites. (Mainly the DragonVale Wiki) With the patch turned off, this problem vanishes, and the hi-res version cannot be opened. Even with the low-res, there are still some issues with the skin, but nothing like this.
These texture packs are the only ones I'm having trouble with. How can I fix this?
Also, I can post some screenshots if that would help.

Pretty sure MCpatcher is version-independent, meaning the newest version should work with a lot of different version of Minecraft.
Something went wrong I think...
First I tried to install it, it just opened an advertisement and some spam.
I installed MCpatcher again, latest version, but it installed an old version that only inluded up to 1.0.0. It also installed a bunch of useless stuff on my computer and started 'scanning'. I stopped the scan and disinstalled it, and it opened up a webpage of the program that was scanning my computer earlier.
What's wrong? How do I fix this?
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

The "detect texture pack change" option is broken for me
Does anybody else has the same issue?
I use MCPatcher 2.4.0 and Minecraft Snapshot 12w27a with no additional mods.
When I try to replace the zip file my pc says another process is using this file at the moment.
Please help me/fix this. I love this option, it makes testing your textures a lot easier.
Do not be surprised - my English is Google translate. I never play Minecraft without these mods:
ExtraBiomesXl, Industrial Craft, Build Craft, LCTrees++, Metallurgy, Railcraft, Smart Moving, Forestry, Jammy Furniture Mod, Kaevator Super Slopes, Xtra Blocks, ReiMinimap, CraftGuide.
Is the 2.4 hd mcpatcher the newest? becouse i updated my minecraft today and after using the patcher its still messed up (fire on bricks and text on water)
Okay, since Google can't rly help me at all (all problems coming up when searching mcpatcher + some keywords seem to be compatibility related) imma try to find some help here, since i'm kinda desperate right now... ^^
I've got one "simple" problem:
My Windows doesn't seem to know what it should do with the .jar data that the mc patcher is. It worked in the past, until i tried to get the singleplayer commands mod to work and changed some things... But ever since then i can't open my mcpatcher anymore.
I've already reinstalled my complete Java, deleted my .minecraft folder and ofc set the path of which .exe the .jar should be opened with to my java.exe, but all that doesn't rly seem to work.
It opens a small explorer window for an extremely short time, which after some tries i managed to screen:
I know, thats German...
I'd translate it with "error: main class C:\Users\Lukas\Desktop\McPatcher 1.2.5 could not be found or loaded".
Thats it, no mcpatcher window popping up unfortunately...
Does anyone have an idea what i could try to fix this? It rly sucks badly to play with the default texture pack instead of my beloved misa
Did you try redownloading the mcpatcher jar?
Otherwise it looks good...
Do you use a 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows and java?
Another thing that might be wrong, is that you might have forgotten the "-jar" flag.
To test this and as a workaround create a new file called "mcpatcher.bat" (important is the .bat extension) with the following content:
Place it next to your MCPatcher jar and execute it. It should start McPatcher. If it doesn't work, you'll at least be able to read the error log in the console window thanks to the "PAUSE" command. If it works, you can remove the "PAUSE" command from the file.
Edit: If this works for you, please tell me and I will tell you how to set this up in windows, so that you don't need the additional file and everything works properly again
He does post infrequently if you go by the updates being made to the mod. If you're referring to the lack of response to the plethora of bug reporters, I'm afraid most of them can be solved easily because they're PEBKAC cases.
If it isn't a problem within a texture pack or Minecraft directory, it's usually a problem with a computer. If both of these are without complications, and MCPatcher is used properly according to the instructions in the OP, most issues would be resolved without the need to report them.
As for genuine error reports, I'm sure he's quite busy fixing bugs and road testing new features, so his abstention isn't unjustified.
I have a problem with the mcpatcher. I have the 2.4.0. when i play minecraft, there is fire on bricks and the water says use the patcher noob. So I used the patcher, but nothing has changed. Is there a newer version of mcpatcher or is there a bug or something?

I was previously (1.2.5) using the LB Photorealism textures, however they have not been updated for 12w27a (1.3). You must use a texture pack for 1.3 or certain blocks will appear invisible if there is no texture for them. Since LB has not been updated in a timely fashion I have begun using Misa 4.16 photo-realistic textures, and honestly enjoy them more than LB due to biome-specific effects, realistic torch lighting, and a few other effects.
As well make sure you are using the latest MC Patcher (Currently 2.4) to support HD textures in 12w27a.

When creating .properties files for CTM, is it possible to have more than one .properties file for a single block (i.e. creating .properties for a fence side and a .properties for a fence top)? If so, how?

without forge all work. looks like conflict with forge 3.3.8.164. please, fix(
Yep. Seeing this error as well. Same build. For now I switched back to vanilla modloader since nothing actually needed forge right now.
P.S. - If you are installing colored enchancements mod and notice the tools looking strange install it using modloader between modloader and all the hdpatches. It replaces a file that mcpatcher patches and breaks some of the hd rendering. Just an FYI.
Nvm i got it to work. I uninstalled and reinstalled mcpatcher, and unpatched it before patching it again and it worked. I wander what the poblem was though.
