You should add the 3D items mod as an option for mcpatcher. It seems to be compatible with almost everything including animated textures, HD textures, and works in SMP. It just makes items on the ground look awesome.
Could you please fix Better Grass so that the side grass uses the boime grass coloring available in MC? It is just using the grey texture used in generating grass from the terrain file but not selecting any of the biome colors, so it looks like stone on the sides of dirt blocks.
Are you using the default texture pack or a different one? I only ask because I started using MCpatcher yesterday and the side grass has been working perfectly
I hate to tell eveyone this but i tired to download it though ad.fly and i think possibly the file has been infected my avast stopped it so let the creators know.
i have downloaded this before though this link and had no issues so it is a new issue not old
Avast has now joined Norton's idiot parade. The file is not infected.
I dunno what this guy is going on about.. I use Avast and it has never returned anything on MCPatcher.
There must be something wrong with my mac because every time I try this it never ends up like the video. My friend was able to get it to work for me last year, but then something happened and now it won't work. (This is al because I want dokucraft). Please can someone help me.
I'd love to see MCPatcher adopt the versatility of OptiFine in relation to Extended Connected Textures. With OptiFine, any block can have multiple properties files linked to it as long as they're serialized with the letter suffix ('a' through to 'z').
For example, the wood block texture, whose properties file would be named 'block17.properties', can have multiple files linked to it ('block17a.properties', 'block17b.properties', 'block17c.properties' etc.). This means, one could have a file changing the top & bottom tree ring texture, and another file can change the horizontal bark texture.
I not sure what is causing this... But I am trying to use Misa's Texture pack (1.2.5) and I have followed the instruction to a T numorious times, and I end up missing half of the textures, and others (like the ores, furnece, etc..) Are just blurry. I figured this was a issue with the HD texture support, so I looked into MCPatcher, and I found this when I install Misa's pack into my texture folder...
I'm guessing this isn't good... But it doesn't explain the other textures just plain not showing up.
Off the top of my head I am missing Cobblestone, stone, and dirt with grass on top (exposed)
Wood works, and 1/2 of the different villagers work... So I have no idea what I'm doing wrong..
This is what I've done up to this point:
Clean installed my minecraft.jar
Open MCPatcher, patch using better grass, custom colors, and all that good stuff.
Open minecraft and place Misa's texture pack into the texture pack folder.
Select and Run, and issues.
Hi guys. I'm still relatively new to all this mod/addon stuff, so bear with me in my n00bishness.
Earlier this month I learned how to play the game with addons, and long story short I use Magic Launcher for them. I actually have load the game every time using Magic Launcher rather than the normal client, otherwise some of the addons disappear.
I'm now trying to get into using texture packs, & need to know a few things before I do anything so I don't accidentally ruin my whole game... again.
It's apparent that I need a utility (either this or Optifine) to use any texture packs that higher than native resolution. But is MC Patcher compatible with Magic Launcher? Do I need to check each individual addon I use to be sure if they're compatible with MC Patcher or not? (FYI I only play single-server currently, not on a server)
If I install MC Patcher, and download some HD texture packs, will I be able to run the game via the Magic Launcher client, and use the "Texture Packs" button from the main menu to select a texture pack, and expect the game to run ok? Or do I load HD texture packs in a different way than native texture packs (and if so, can I still do it while running the game from Magic Launcher?)
And there is any known conflict here... will it work if I use Optifine instead instead of MC Patcher?
**EDIT**
I got my questions answered in answered in another thread. It turns out that I'm gonna have to go with OptiFine rather than MC Patcher.
it would be REALLY GREAT if you could include zip files for each of the packages that are being installed by this app, so if we want to install them manually or through an installer, we're not stuck and can just do it ourselves.
Hey when I used mcpatcher all my sandstone wouldnt appear in the creative inventory, when i tried placeing it the top was white wool the sides were a mob cage and the bottom was the top of a crafting table, plz inform me why this is happening, the only other mod I have on is Single player commands.
Help me please. I can not combine minecraftforge and mcpatcher. Put minecraftforge with mcpatcher - missing graphics settings from mcpatcher. Put back the schedule - lost minecraftforge. Put minecraftforge manually (copy the files into minecraft.jar) - mcpatcher refuses to patch minecraft, wrote a blank restore minecraft.jar. Help please! I apologize for the broken English, I speak only Russian, and use the google translator.

This is what it looks like.

Curse PremiumHow to fix: Have Norton stop deleting it.
Why Norton thinks it's unsafe: READ THE WHOLE MAIN POST

I think the last version is downward compatible, isn't it?

Here's WantedRobot's FyreUK Creative pack utilizing it perfectly. It would be nice to see MCPatcher include this as standard.
