if mcpatcher doesn't work, optifine could be the solution. you can even install it via mcpatcher, but you need to disable some mcpatcher mods. more detailed instructions about using optifine with mcpatcher is on the optifine page.

What is the real use of loading lava/water animations from terrain.png? It makes lava and water in packs not designed with MCpatcher in mind (in other words, default water/lava) look horrible. It reads 90 degrees differently than default would, and doesn't include much advanced animation.
It seems like anyone making animations would just make it its own image strip. Reading from terrain.png just seems to cause issues with lower-res packs, or those that haven't made animations, and users of MCpatcher that don't know/care to repatch with animations set to default.

Could I request a feature? Or has this been done before somewhere else? But the Ability to specify and assign othwer blocks transparancy and glass semi transparancy/translucency. I am in great need for this feature and I think it would benifit other texture pack artists as well. Is this possible? Thanks.

I'm liking the new update, but I've found that whenever I place a block, the game crashes. Would you say that this would be a problem with my installation, or because of the patcher?

It says it's flagged as a trojan with Antiy-AVL: Trojan/Win32.Ruftar.gen Please update with why this is now flagged. According to the post your main post points us at for why Norton flags and removes the installer, there should be no flags... Either a trojan has been added, or you need to look through your code to find out what is now causing this flag to happen. I'll not be using this until it has no flags again. To be fair, I've never heard of Antiy-AVL, so I am assuming it's another false positive. It does need to be resolved though.

The connected textures work great, especially random, which means my animated nether works the way I meant it to for the next release. So thanks and well done!
But I must ask, am I doing something wrong? When I try to apply CTM to mod blocks, the game crashes. Is CTM just not compatible with mods at this time, or am I missing something?

I want to make custom tools, so when they are being used the textures will change looking like the tool is actually degrading.
